The hotel should not even be available to book. There was nobody at the front desk for nearly 20 minutes while we waited to check in. Once we got to our room the smell was awful. There was dead bugs on the blankets and dead bugs all over. Spiders living in the bathroom sink. Something brown smeared all over the bathroom door. I pulled the fitted sheet back to find no mattress protector and bugs crawling on the mattress. It then took an hour to confirm I could get a refund because Shilo in was not able to refund because I booked with Expedia Expedia hung up on me 3x when I tried to get a refund. I finally was able to get through a chat. This was such an inconvenience and I doubt I’ll ever book with Expedia again. Shilo Inn needs to be shut down.

THE WORST EVER! I walked into my room to see a bottle of lubricant on the floor by the bedroom nightstand and handprints on the walls above the bed and on the headboard. To top it off the hot tub I paid for in the room had dirty hair and some“stuff” floating in the water :( had a good laugh about it but it was still nasty lol

We had stayed at this Shilo Inn several times before, over the last 20 years. Checkin was fine, and he did tell me to check and report back ifthere was anything we needed. We were just there for a short overnight, so I did not report that for our double room we had only one towel, hand towel and wash cloth. there was body soap for the shower, but no handsoap for the sink. The sink had a significant clog, that made for delayed emptying. The carpet in the room was not particularly clean and there was more than one spot where perhaps pitch was stuck in the fibers. The bed was sloppily made, which was bad enough that I remade the bed before we went to bed. But the absolute worst thing was in the morning when I went to make coffee, there was no regular coffee. Only decaf. The good things - the bed was actually quite comfortable after i remade it. Our room was quiet and we had a really nice view of the Deschutes river out the back door.

River view was nice. This is an older property that was a little dated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was cleanish, remnants of a mushroom pizza in the fridge. We checked in late Thanksgiving afternoon and the desk clerk hinted he was the only one on site. I would stay there again.

Stove top was dirty~ melted cheese not wiped down. Area under kitchen sink had old French fries and the back cabinet wall was ripped out with exposed pipes. The room was excellent,it was really big and cozy.the mgr.,the staff were not as friendly.Make sure your batteries are charged in your vehicle or they will call the cops on you and have you trespassing if not.The day we checked out our car wouldn't start,cause our batteries were dead from sitting in there parking lot for the past 7 days.So,it took us a little longer to get off there property.they treated us like criminals,that's bad business in my eyes.
