This 450 sq ft apartment is located in the lower level of our home and offers a cozy and comfortable living space. The apartment features one bedroom and one bathroom, making it perfect for singles or couples or friends. The location of the apartment is ideal for those who love outdoor activities as it is near Mt. Bachelor and biking trails. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area and explore the great outdoors right from your doorstep. Despite being a lower level apartment, it has ample natural light and ventilation to keep the apartment fresh and airy. With its prime location and well-designed interior, this apartment offers an excellent opportunity for a comfortable and adventurous lifestyle.
Cozy living area with attached stocked kitchen. Sofa bed available plus a comfy queen bed with soft linens and plenty of space to spread out. The bathroom includes a sink, toilet, tub and shower, and has everything you will need in this home away from home.
Internet access is included. There is a 40” Smart TV with Netflix and Hulu. No Cable TV but streaming on TV is available. We welcome you to our home for a real Bend lifestyle experience.
September 2021 we installed a mini split heat pump. AC is now available. The unit in the Garden apartment can be set any to temperature desired. It is part of the system used by the rest of the house. During the summer AC will always be available. During the shoulder seasons AC or heat is available. If the main house is set for heat the apartment will have heat, if the main house is set for AC then the Garden apartment will have AC. We will always try to accommodate your temperature requests in the shoulder seasons. If you are not getting the temperature you desire, just ask and we will adjust the main house as needed.
We have a lockable shed available for bike/float storage. Please mention you would like storage when you book.

ADDITIONAL CLEANING FEE CHARGE - If you are staying longer than 21 days, you'll be charged an additional $75. Additional cleaning fee due after checking in.
You must be comfortable climbing stairs. Our home is located approximately one and a half flights up stairs from the street. There are a total of 25 stairs to the apartment door. Please see pictures for clarification.
Property is not suitable for parties. Non-smoking and no loud, late-night outdoor activity. Please be respectful of the neighbors. We like them and hope to keep it mutual.
Please note: There is no smoking (of any substance) or vaping allowed on the property.
No pets. No exceptions - unless you are traveling with an emotional support animal. Please be aware that the place is generally not available for pets as some folks in our family are allergic to pet dander. In consideration for guests with allergies, pets are not allowed and we have no outside accommodations for them. If you have a pet during your stay, the cleaning fee will be $150 due to the extensive cleaning required. Please keep all pets off furniture as that is hardest to clean.
FOOD:
Our kitchen is stocked with basics for your stay. It includes: a sink, fridge, electric kettle, drip coffee maker, Keurig, stove/oven, microwave, blender, all utensils, cups and plates. No dishwasher.
Bend is packed with wonderful eateries, you will find plenty of restaurants, cafes, and food carts to keep you full and happy for the rest of the day.
NOISE:
We live at the end of a street in a quiet residential neighborhood. We ask that you respect the privacy of our neighbors.
This is a downstairs apartment and we do live upstairs. You may hear some footsteps, toilets flushing, or laundry. We do our best to keep the noise to a minimum and kindly ask that our guests do the same, especially late at night.
LAUNDRY: There is no laundry inside of the apartment, but there's a laundry mat 3 minutes away.

Someone is always available by phone and through messaging on rental platforms! We live on the property and are happy to meet our guests, but more often than not, we let you enjoy your privacy. Bend, Oregon, is celebrated for its beautiful natural surroundings and scenery, characterized by its proximity to the Deschutes River and the Cascade mountain range. West are the lakes and peaks of the Cascade Mountains, with ski resorts and multi-use trails. In town, a trail leads up to Pilot Butte, an extinct volcano. South, the High Desert Museum showcases the local environment with history and live wildlife exhibits. In the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, stairs lead into the Lava River Cave, a huge lava tube.

In 2015 Bend built The Whitewater Park in the Old Mill District on the Westside. This park, now a celebrated landmark, offers a range of river experiences for kayakers, paddleboarders, tubers, and other water enthusiasts. It includes a series of engineered rapids and features designed to create dynamic water conditions. The park has three channels catering to different skill levels and watercraft. A pedestrian bridge nearby offers a great vantage point for spectators to watch the water activities. This bridge connects the park to both sides of the river.
With miles of hiking and biking trails through town and Mt. Bachelor and Smith Rock nearby, Bend is famous for world-class recreation. Combine that with a richly diverse cultural landscape, award-winning dining, and boutique shopping; you might never want to leave Bend.
There is parking in front of the apartment on the street. Guests can access the suite with a private entrance and keypad.
Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) is the nearest full-service airport to Bend and Mt. Bachelor; it's the fourth largest commercial airport in the state and serves all of Central Oregon. The airport is approximately a 20-minute drive from Bend and a 40-minute drive to Sunriver.
Roberts Field-Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) is the closest commercial airport to Bend, located 16 miles northeast in Redmond.
