Overlooking the Deschutes River, 55905 Wood Duck Drive is a spacious two level home located approximately 7 miles South of Sunriver is your key to relaxation. Launch your canoe or kayak directly from the back yard and float down to Harpers Bridge. Enjoy a book down by the River, or fly fish off the bank. The views of this home are spectacular and breathtaking.

The living room is spacious and comfortable, with a cozy gas fireplace to warm up to on chilly nights. The large windows offer a stunning view of the surrounding Deschutes woods and water, additionally the plush seating is perfect for cuddling up with a good book or movie.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to prep meals and has modern appliances, including a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stove. The ample counter space makes it easy for family and friends to gather around. The dining table seats six people comfortably, with water front views.

There are three bedrooms at Wood Duck 5, each with a comfortable beds and fresh linens. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, while the other two bedrooms have a queen bed. The cabin has two bathrooms, one of which is ensuite to the master bedroom. Both bathrooms are stocked with fresh towels and basic toiletries, so you don't have to worry about packing your own. This cabin does not have air conditioning and will provide box fans in the bedrooms. Wood Duck 5 is not pet friendly home and will not allow pets on the property.

In the property description there were box fans in each bedroom but when we arrived on a very hot day there we're only two fans in the whole house that worked. I found a large dried out tick inside of my bed which was very unsettling but I gave up talking to management after my first conversation regarding the fans. They pushed back pretty hard about addressing issues and I didn't want to ruin my weekend. If I had the ability to attach pictures I would show the tick.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A very nice house but clearly not being cleaned properly, dirty stained carpets, candy and crumbs under the couches, dust caking the decor and that awful fake tree/plant. The property, especially the back yard is an embarrassment to the beautiful yards of the neighbors on either side. That being said, everything worked properly and we enjoyed our weekend getaway quite a bit.

We saw deer numerous times grazing, and loved the peace and quiet. The house was incredibly clean and large, accompanied with under-floor heating. The TV's cable was not hooked up, but it gave us an opportunity to read more of our bibles. Love it!

Relaxing getaway
Great relaxing getaway in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful house with fully stocked kitchen (everything you need for cooking). Beds were good, body just has to get used to sleeping on memory foam mattress. We did bring our own camp chairs and I'm glad we did, outdoor furniture hadn't been out of storage yet due to very early in the warming up season. Nice deck and dock to sit out on, had a herd of elk visit across the river one night. Only suggestion would be to have a "welcome" book with some house instructions and maybe some things to see and do in the area. Instructions would have been helpful on how to turn on the fireplace, wall controller was hidden behind a Ficus tree. Otherwise, lovely home and would stay here again.

We were pleased to be away from the huddle and bustle of many of the city centered houses, but we were pleased with the rural characteristics of the homes including the friendliness of the neighbors.The house was very clean and very well cared for. Although a bit older, everything functioned as it should, and the kitchen was well supplied.Wi-Fi was great but we found the operation of the streaming services on the flat screen to be a bit difficult to operate. We were able to watch our sportsAnd other programming on our iPads due to the robust Wi-Fi connection. Thank you.It was a bit cold for outdoor activity in the backyard, however, we were able to pull out a couple of very comfortable from the garage and watch the wildlife by the river. The stars were spectacular.Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Nice large riverfront but could use some additional comforts
House was large and good for a family. Loved being on the river. Kitchen is large but is lacking with cooking essentials, such as a variety of utensils (spatulas, serving spoons, serving plates), and knives were dull (no sharpeners). A big missing ingredient were omelet pans. Also, no a/c which was difficult some nights. Some comfy lounge chairs would have been nice so we could enjoy relaxing by the beautiful river. The lawn area is not well kept. For the price one pays overall it should be like a resort. Finally, the last issue is out of the owner's control but all nearby neighbors were mowing their lawns at different times of day almost daily (on the weekend and during the week) which was annoying but obviously part of being in a residential area. Again, for the price we paid we found it bothersome.

I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Satisfied with home for the most part. The view was spectacular, the accommodations were adequate, and the location was convenient. However, the home's deck required me to remove the massive amount of pine needles. I figured this should have been done prior to our arrival. In fairness, there was a massive windstorm the night before, and several trees were also down. One blocking the view of the river and another leaning against the house. I was warned prior to departing my home that this was the case, and we cannot control mother nature. But I know a rental property company employee was onsite to assess the damage, and he could have cleaned off the deck. But overall it did not take away from the enjoyment of the trip. Without air conditioning the upstairs loft gets warm, even at night. I would be hesitant to stay here in the middle of summer, but would definitely stay here again in the spring and fall.

Clean, comfortable and spacious. Right on the Deschutes River.
Pros: Clean. Comfortable beds. Spacious. Nice kitchen and bar with BEAUTIFUL bar stools! New inside couches. Deck with swing by the easily accessible river. Barbecue. Nice outside furniture. Cons: No A/C. No coffee. (There is a coffee maker though). No hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay in this clean and comfortable home. The highlight of our trip was kayaking from the house to Harper’s Bridge. We also rented bikes for 2 hours and rode the river loop that took us by the river, the stables, golf course and the Marina. So beautiful and relaxing. The neighbors are nice and are full time residents, so it was nice and quiet. (Except when the landscapers showed up at 9am with their VERY loud leaf blower on checkbout day: Monday). I don’t understand why anyone would rent a home right in Sunriver when they have the option to rent this home that is right on the river and only 10 minutes from the Village. We would love to stay here again.
