"We stayed for 2 weeks, whilst the rest of the country had a heat wave, we had a couple of nice days and the rest was misty and windy. However, the house exceeded our expectations being warm, comfortable and had everything you could need - really high quality furnishings etc. Fantastic views from the house and the patio area and walks from the doorstep. If you like beach walking (cant describe how beautiful they are) and wild life (otters, deer, seals etc) then this is an excellent choice, we...

"Fantastic stay with the following tiny cons, smoke alarm detectors went off every time we used the toaster. Also a small welcome pack of bread and fresh milk would have been appreciated after a long drive, but overall a wonderful place to stay and very comfortable."

"We loved the Shelling Skye and didn't want to come home. The accommodation looked out over a loch and watching the night skies, the sunrises and ever changing was a delight. The cabin itself was very comfortable and clean and cosy. There were iconic walks in the local area as well as a five star restaurant which added to the joy of the stay in this part of Skye. The owner was super helpful and gave clear instructions and offered good local information. "

"From the moment we arrived in Glendale, we were greeted by Engela, the most lovely host you could imagine. She is so kind and helpful and had even left chocolates and wine-much appreciated! We didn’t have the best of weather, but the accommodation made up for it. Skye is the most beautiful island and I would recommend this home to anyone. Our two dogs especially loved the fabulous, secure gardens. Many thanks. "

"Best family holiday for years. Nice touches here and there. If you arrived with nothing in the middle of the night you’d cope what with the spare/extra food and household essentials. Great to not have to be concerned about bedding or towels. Sorry we ended up with 3 towels in our laundry. Will launder and return. The views are amazing. The loch warm enough to swim in. And fish. Don’t know about the rules of the latter but we caught nothing anyway. The beaches are somewhat amazing- even though...
