This was an excellent property that deserves 5 stars all the way around. Very clean, quiet and updated!
This home has been supplied with absolutely everything you need.
If we travel that area again, I will stay here for sure!
Highly recommend!
Nicely updated cabin with all the conveniences of home. Options both indoors and outdoors to relax or entertain. The internet connection was strong enough for two of us to being working remotely during the day. We will stay here again!
The hosts have put careful thought into making this a great place to stay. The house is well equipped, the instructions were clear, and the hosts were communicative.
What an awesome experience! We loved the idyllic lakeside location, but were just as impressed with the luxurious interiors. And the property has a great beach and dock---perfect to take off from in a canoe or to go swimming in! A very pleasant and comfortable place to stay for our vacation! Thanks Lisa and John!
My girlfriends and i had such a great time staying we stayed for 3 nights it was a relaxing getaway for us and to celebrate our friends birthday we are hoping to come back this summer in july if there is availability you wont be disappointed staying here it felt like home for us plus you are able to get doordash.
I thought it was pretty nice everything was there that we needed the beach was nice the house was fantastic my family and I are pretty grateful for the state that we have thank you John and Lisa if I were schedules work out next year we will be looking to come back
This cabin was perfect for us. Lots of open space for us to gather with members of our family for a graduation. Loved that it was close to town and on a lake. Also felt like everyone had plenty of space.
This property location is wonderful! We loved the close proximity to Bemidji and also the fun of the lake with fishing and swimming. The property is immaculate and the lake pristine. We caught fish daily and experienced the Headwaters of the Mississippi, Big Nasty Tackle (great name), the casino , local eateries and pubs. Just a great place to experience a getaway. Incredible and responsive hosts. I highly recommend!
Got lucky with a Northern lights show. But were also delighted by eagles and osprey in the trees. Inside this place is beautiful and has everything you need and much you don’t. Outside the property’s stone work is amazing and the spaces are fantastic. The lakes speak for themselves… Is add photos but not seeing a way.
Our family was in awe of how gorgeous this home is when we walked through the front door. The home was super clean, very inviting, quiet, and many details well thought-out to make for an excellent experience for guests. Many extra “little touches” which I haven’t experienced at other VRBO properties in the past. Owner was very excellent with communication and checked in with us to make everything was going well with our stay. I definitely recommend staying here!
This is a big, beautiful home, in the woods, on a quiet, clean lake. It is like a hybrid resort and private home! Sandy beach, dock, canoes, cement paths to the lake, screened porch, patio, smoker, propane and wood fire pits, additional outdoor table and chairs, smart TV, fireplaces, games. The beds are very comfortable (& I'm finicky with beds), and quiet possibly unlike anything you've experienced. Fully stocked kitchen, and windows for days! It is clean, and feels like home. The host is attentive, and aims to provide a top-notch rental. We didn't want to leave, and hope to go back some day!
The home was perfect for my family. There were plenty of supplies, very clean and it was a beautiful home. There were two family rooms which was great so the kids could be downstairs and the adults were upstairs conversing. The view was amazing. We didn’t make use of the lake due to our busy weekend schedule but if I need a place to stay in Bemidji, I would definitely stay here again.
What a great place to stay! We loved the kitchen. We didn't have to bring anything. There was a coffepot, Kuerig, slow cooker, blender, and teapot. The house was lovely! The pictures don't do it justice. Lots of space for games and movies. The decks were amazing. The grill on the upper deck and the fire pit on the lower level were wonderful! I highly recommend staying here. Our group will be back!
The house was great! Kitchen was nicely stocked. Plenty of room. We came for our yearly ATV trip and was able to access trails from the house. No need to trailer to any trailheads if you do not want too. FYI, Turning a 35ft trailer around was a challenge, the driveway is not big enough. We had to drive up the road to a house that had a better driveway. The road is on a dead end, with no better options for turning around at the end either. Otherwise, the house was great!
We were staying in the area for a family reunion and anniversary reception so unfortunately, we did not make use of all of the amenities at the cabin, like the canoes. The instructions were very clear how to access them and what to do for clean up. The cabin was a great place to come back to after a busy day and relax and regroup. It was beautiful. There was an issue with one of the beds but it was on the last morning.
The house was beautiful, so many extras. The kitchen was fully furnished. The view of the lake was amazing and the sunsets were stunning. We had plenty of room to play family games at the kitchen table and watch movies on the smart tv. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner was provides in each shower along with extra blankets. We loved the down confortors- so cozy. The master bedroom closet was so big that we could place the port-a-crib in it. Lots of memories made. We used the canoe to paddle across the lake and went into town to play pickleball and mini-golf along with biking on the Paul Bunyan State Park Trail. Do not forget a trip to Walker for quaint shopping and fun foods.
We were a group of five alumni college friends who returned to Bemidji to bond at the lake house and explore BSU and town. This home has an amazing open layout with a large kitchen, lake view dining, spacious lake view living room with 2 leather couches and 2 modern easy chairs. We used the smart TV, a cozy 3 sided fireplace between dining and living room space and cooked all meals in the well supplied kitchen. They had pots, pans, baking dishes, crock pot, waffle iron, blender, K-cup and drip coffee pots, tea pot, etc. The master bedroom has its own bathroom and the 2nd bedroom upstairs has a bathroom close by near the kitchen. The downstairs has a family room with 2 loveseats, table and chairs, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom to share, and all bathrooms have showers. All beds were very comfortable and the decor through the house is well chosen. There is a screened-in porch, an upper patio with a grill, and a lower patio with a gas fire place. The path to the lake is well paved, the lot is left rustic, the views are stunning. The quiet lake is great for swimming and fishing. We floated on air mattresses for hours listening to loons, seeing eagles, etc. The hosts, John and Lisa are exceptional. They are so friendly and attentive to make sure we had all we needed, all with respect for our privacy. You can park cars in the garage & driveway. It’s a quick drive to Bemidji. This is a rare find and a beautiful comfy house to enjoy time with family or friends. Thanks John and Lisa!
