Enjoy a holiday in the centre of seaside Bembridge in our award winning cottage

Winter or high Summer, sun, snow, wind or rain, you can have a great break at Drayton Cottage, in lovely Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. Expect fluffy duvets, dog treats and vintage detail.

Proud to win the Tested by Tots 2021 holiday let award we welcome couples and families to the cottage.

Let your car gather dust on the cottage drive, big enough for a large 4x4 and relax.

You can walk to the beaches in less than 10 minutes, you can easily stroll to a pub, cafe or restaurant in less than 5 minutes, or you can stay right at home and enjoy the gorgeous, quiet, sunny garden with comfy outdoor couches, barbie, dining table and chairs.

If the weather is blustery, enjoy a bracing coastal walk, followed by a relaxing soak in the bath and chill with a glass of wine and a good book in the cosy sitting room. There is a smart tv and wifi to catch up on emails. A wireless speaker for your iTunes and a lamp which charges your phone in case you leave home without a charger.

In the new kitchen you'll find all you need to cook a great meal, hob, oven, microwave etc. There is a washing machine so you don't have to go home with dirty clothes and the newly fitted bathroom is on the ground floor.

Upstairs there are the two bedrooms, one double and one twin. There is also a baby travel cot, high chair and stair gate. Linen, except for the cot, and towels are provided at no extra cost.

Dogs love the walking on the island, so if you would like to bring your family friend with you, just let me know at the time of booking. The local beaches are open to dogs all hyear.

The sunny garden is secure and has an artificial lawn so no fears about muddy feet. There is a garden shed big enough to house a couple of bikes. There is also a barbie and dining table with chairs, couches and bench. Shade is provided by a plant covered pergola.

In Bembridge you can do as much or as little as you like. You can find long interesting walks right from the front door, you can enjoy cycling trails, you can rockpool or find a quiet little sandy cove or you can simply enjoy a coffee and icecream at a nearby cafe.

Bembridge is big enough to offer local independent shops with a baker, butcher and farm shop as well as a chemist. There is an excellent chippy, Chinese restaurant, and village pubs offering a variety of food, including takeaway. This small town has everything you need with a post office and supermarket, restaurant, cafes and pubs. Small enough to be cute but big enough to supply your shopping needs without having to use the car.

Voted village of the year 2019 by Countryfile magazine readers.

If markets are your thing, Bembridge has a weekly WI market and nearby St Helens has a quirky car boot sale on the Green on Summer Sunday mornings. There is also a farmer's market in Newport.

If you are looking for exercise you could try a beach ride along Bembridge beaches in the Winter and at St Helens in the Summer. Lovely cottage full of quirky details.
The cottage is close to lots of great shops and restaurants. The enclosed garden was brilliant for us and our dog. The owners had obviously given a lot of thought to what their guests might need. We've loved it.

Love the Isle of Wight
Have stayed at various accommodation in Bembridge over the years and they have generally not disappointed. This one was the same. A great base to explore the village and the many footpaths around the area. And with biblical rain showers having a pub within two minutes walk was a bonus.

A little gem in Bembridge!
This cottage is in such a fantastic location, close to a friendly, local pub plus the lovely village shops of Bembridge. Just a short walk to the beach which was great for the dog walking!. The cottage itself is warm, welcoming and cosy with everything you need plus a lovely outdoor area and off street parking. Would recommend and was perfect for two couples plus a dog and we look forward to returning!

Great location both within the village (very central) and village itself as a location for the Isle of Wight. The property had all appropriate amenities and the living space was well appointed. The email information from the host, was very informative and helpful for our stay.

Fabulous cottage with everything you need and close to local amenities
We had a wonderful long weekend at Drayton Cottage during February half term. The cottage is very well equipped and was very clean and inviting. We very much appreciated the attention to detail providing useful items for the dog and recommendations for good walks to go in the area. The local pub is friendly and the food reasonably good value. Overall a lovely stay and we would definitely like to return again soon. Thank you.

A lovely, tastefully decorated and well equipped cottage in the delightful village of Bembridge!
We spent 4 nights at Drayton Cottage and wished we could stay longer. We loved the attention to detail inside the cottage with helpful tips to make our stay more enjoyable, a well equipped kitchen, towels and comfortable beds. The parking space was a real bonus as it can be tricky to park in Bembridge! Having been coming to Bembridge for years we know the village well and love it here - everything is within walking distance, great walks along the beach when the tide is out and we even got to see the lifeboat launch on training night which was a first! We would love to stay again when it is warmer so that we can make use of the lovely garden. Thank you.

Delightful spot for a lovely break
In a quiet, relatively traffic-free side street with off-road parking for two cars, yet near all amenities, this cottage is perfect for 4 adults or a small family. A short stroll will take you to the village centre, with small shops and restaurants a plenty, while the harbour and beach areas are reached in 15 minutes. The owner has decorated the cottage in a delightful 'coastal' style, with thoughtful extra touches (coolbag for picnics, backpack to take out walking, speaker to play music from iPod etc.), which really set this cottage apart. There is a pretty garden at the back with plenty of seating to catch the afternoon sun. Bembridge is a lovely spot with lots to do - although we explored the island, we were always glad to be back in Bembridge as it has a special charm of its own. This is the sort of cottage you want to return to again and again.

Lovely cottage in a perfect location
The cottage was a lovely place to call home for 5 nights. We stayed as a family of 3 adults and a small child and you could see lots of care had been taken both in the property's appearance but also the smaller touches that are often missed out. Like a high-chair for our daughter, the bbq, the tea, coffee, oil etc you always feel you need to buy in-case they arent already there (+ the wine for the adults!) All-in-all it really was a lovely holiday away. Bembridge is a lovely place too since its quieter than some of the other touristy places on the Isle of Wight and it had a very close-knit family feel to the place. We would highly recommend this property, the pictures, dont fully do it justice and Marion was quick to answer any queries I had - particularly as this was our first time away with our young daughter, which was very helpful and reassuring!

Great Location
Superb location, in the heart of the village. Private parking incredibly useful. Owner very flexible on time periods and change over days. Quick response to queries as well. We had an excellent week away. One thing to note is that the stairs are quite steep (being in a cottage, not a surprise) but the more elderly or very the young might need an eye keeping on them. Property refurb is showing its age in a couple of places - but on the whole, it was excellent. Water pressure good, shower good (again, high bath a struggle for less mobile elderly people maybe). Decent cutlery and glasses/plates etc. One to visit again some time.

Beautifully designed house in perfect location
Bembridge is a gorgeous village to stay in, by a beautiful stretch of coastline with amazing places to eat and lovely local shops. The house was in the heart of the village and really beautiful and comfy. So a perfect place to stay on the IOW, especially if you are also bringing a dog.

Wonderful location
The property was spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance of shops pubs and eateries all first class. The harbour ,sandy beaches, and rock pools as well as stunning views of the Solent were all within easy reach.. Parking for large cars and SUVs was very difficult we had to park on the road. The property is not suitable for some disabled people as the stairs are steep and the toilet is on the ground floor. Nebertheless I would recommend it

We loved our recent stay at the cottage and Marion was a great and responsive host. The cottage was clean and has been tastefully decorated throughout. Overall, it had everything we needed and more. The beds were extremely comfy and the garden was an added bonus too. The cottage is situated in a quiet road very close to local pubs, shops and other amenities. We will definitely stay again. Centre of village
Clean beautifully decorated property in centre of lovely village. Good local produce shops, cafes and gift shops. Can walk to a beach in 10 minutes. Easy access by car to rest of the Island. Enjoyed the quirky house. The double bed (small)very comfortable mattress. Good linen. The kitchen is small but functional. Equipment limited if cooking for a family. Pleasant garden with bbq and seating. Highchair and fitting for stairgate although didn’t actually see a gate.Dog well catered for. I didn’t ask for the address until the last minute. I should have asked for a contact number as I found I couldn’t open the key safe but the owner was very responsive to messages.
