"This is a majestic old (but updated) hotel with excellent service. They gave us a tour of the facility and explained all the available services. The whirlpool, sauna, and steam room were all included in the price of the room. They even upgraded our room to ocean view! What incredible service at an incredible hotel. "

"Really good hotel for a trip to Biarritz. The area around is very quiet. Hotel was clean and the staff was really kind. It is a bit further away from town, around 15 minutes walking downhill, however the area around is beautiful. "

"The property fell short of its 4 star rating and our expectations. The lighting in the kitchen/main room did not work. The hot water in the shower was exhausted rather quickly. Most unpleasant was the presence of mosquitos and the lack of air-conditioning as the temperature reached 38C on the day when we arrived. "

"I really liked this place. The room was clean, basic, one person, large bed. What really makes this place worthwhile is the location. All sorts of beautiful pedestrian streets lined with shops are a few steps away. The big cathedral is very close, abd is truly beautiful inside. "If you arrive by car in the dark then its not easy to see the driveway to the Reception nor where you can actually park. You have to go in and ask! Very friendly and informative staff so first class in that respect. Room was fine and good enough but noisy smoking neighbours in next room on the adjoining balcony. Restaurant staff great. Usual disappointing menu but typical french fayre and they still dont know what a well done steak is! "

Immaculate, 5* hotel with exceptional service.

"A 5* experience in a beautiful location with a fabulous room with balcony. The stylish interior design, a la Philippe Starck, and personal touches only added to the overall experience. The level of service was exceptional and the general manager Edgar was extremely kind, informative, helpful and compassionate, and all front of house, waiting and other staff were helpful and polite. The enclosed swimming pool (open 24hrs) and sauna were fab as was the breakfast buffet. An amazing experience. "
