"A lovely hotel where the staff were absolutely wonderful, the kids were over the moon with the biscuits the lady on reception gave us, just a little touch but it was lovely. The room was a little dated but had all we needed and was well maintained and clean which is more important than the era of furniture (think 1990s pine era). The initial lack of signage for the car park had us almost parking out the front in a car park full of pot holes but as we got out we realised the car park was round the back son drove round there instead. The car park was well lit, covered by cctv, and easy access to the bar and hotel. There’s also a really good little park for the kids to be entertained if you want to sit out back for a bit. Overall it was excellent value for money and we would definitely go back. "

"Loved room, bathroom, public areas, staff, food, ambience, level of luxury. Not so keen on - long walk from lift to room, no lighting in parts of carpark - this made it very dangerous. "

"I only stayed one night & didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on the food. Check in & out was quick & efficient & the staff were very friendly. Room was on the small side but adequate. Bathroom was clean, modern & included a bath. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The rooms are on the small side and so are the bathrooms but the bed was very comfortable and had some nice touches. Tea and coffee and biscuits. The menu wasn’t great but what we had was quite good. "

"Lovely room, really nice bathroom fit out. Excellent quality tea, coffee, orange juice etc in the room. Nice variety of self serve breakfast to get when you want. Room was quite loud above the pub until it closed at 11 at night. Overall lovely stay and great value. "

"Never again! When I arrived they had no record of my booking, even though I showed them the booking confirmation. After almost an hour they agreed to give me a room. When we were in the room it was freezing, it was -2 in the room, we tried the heating but it didn’t work. Asked reception to move us but they said they didn’t have any other rooms made up. We left at 6am because we couldn’t stand the cold."

"Such a great little gem. Staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Loved the décor, it was wonderful, felt very comfortable and relaxed after the family funeral we had attended. Evening spent in the bar, Nigel (owner) was the perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast, wow what a great verity on offer. Scrambled eggs were done beautifully. Nigel had assured us, we would sleep well, he had invested in very good mattresses and pillows. He was absolutely right. Our room was quite small but everything we needed, bathroom was cold but manageable. It was the budget end of the rooms available, so we ok with that. Would we recommend this hotel? yes without a doubt. (Took video and sent it to my daughters). And we will definitely make a point of staying again."
