"We knew that reception closed at 21.00 and we would not arrive before 23.00 so we followed the instructions to contact the hotel. Firstly the hotel never replied through the messaging service so I telephoned and despite language difficulties was given a code for the machine outside the hotel to issue a door key. On arrival the machine was not working the tel number was not answered. Horrible, we were tired and cold with no way to get into a room. Another tel number was displayed on the machine...

"Basic hotel but very affordable for our budget. There is a McDonald's across the street and easy access to the freeway. Breakfast is 12 Euros which is not cheap for what you get. U need a car for this hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Its a good base to explore Normandy without staying at an expensive hotel closer to the D Day Beaches. There is a Lidl a short distance away. I would stay here again if I have a vehicle. "

"Basis ibis hotel but very well priced. Great stop before the ferrry home. We had an issue with the drains in the first room but were moved immediately upon reporting it, no further issues. Good locked car park felt very safe "

"Budget hotel so for the cost it is extremely good value. Would have liked a hand towel for the separate sink area, but just two bath towels provided for the wet room style toilet/shower. Continental style breakfast was good for the first two days, but on our last day (a Monday) there was very little on offer. The room was small but adequate and the bed was very comfortable. "Amazing place! So glad we chose to stay here away from the towns. We were still really close to Caen, Bayeux, and the WWII sites and even Mont St Michel! since we rented a car. They also upgraded our room to the deluxe! It was very spacious with amazing views from both windows. Highly recommend everyone to consider this hotel during their stay in Normandy. Oh and they also have like 5 kitties that stay at the place that are very friendly! Definitely a bonus for this cat lover 😅"

"If it's convenience to the train station and rental car offices you need, this could be the right place for you. It was easy to find and just a few doors down to all of the major car rental offices. It is practical and good for a one night stay. You can add a breakfast for a reasonable fee. The check-in host was fluent in both French and English."

"The hotel I would describe as average. A little outdated and the hallway was decorated in a really dark wallpaper which made it very dark and dismal.. The room was ok and the bed comfortable. The grouting in the bathroom was a bit black and mouldy. The lighting in the room needs to be improved as it was also very dark. The receptionist explained everything and we didn't have any problems."

Large manor house for rent in Normandy, a stone's throw from Suisse Normande!

Perfect family stay

"With grandparents, parents and children, including one with severe autism, this was an ideal place for our holiday. The property was stunning, the setting beautiful and the pool inviting. Plenty of space for everyone and a lovely secure garden area. The layout of the bedrooms (doubles/singles) wasn’t quite as listed, but we were able to adapt easily enough. Great to find a holiday location that is so welcoming to the disabled community. The play barn was a huge hit with the children and they enjoyed making friends with other guests, despite the language barrier! Kitchen was well equipped and the huge dining table was super for family meals."
