"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"Absolutely spectacular. We really enjoyed our time at Chateau de Candes. Bertrand and Sam went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Running this place is not easy but the family are doing their absolute best as custodians. They are fully dedicated and committed to making Chateau de Candes a success. Merci Bertrand et Sam. "We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The photos do not do it justice, it is a lot more spacious than it appears online. It’s the ideal location to visit nearby chateaux and places of interest. It was lovely waking up and looking out onto the vineyard. The owner’s wine is exceptional and we can thoroughly recommend a tasting tour. I loved cooking in the kitchen each night as there was every utensil you could want.
