"Very beautiful and stylish hotel, every detail well thought, clean rooms and all hotel areas well maintained. Lovely snorkelling near by, and best breakfast on the island indeed! Unfortunately we have experienced some building noises right next to the pool (they were building another restaurant during open hours?) which really disturbed our time near the pool, as well as the halls were painted at the same time limiting access to the rooms. "Nice place to view once, but I won't be back. The all inclusive is not really all inclusive but some inclusive. My favourite drink is Negroni and Capirinha and those were not on the All inclusive list, so you have to pay for them. All the cocktails I tried were tasteless and mostly water alcohol and sugar. All coktails taste the same. Not happy with the quality of drinks. Also the sailing, I was trying to sail 3 days in a row, wasn't available. from what I seen only weekend you can do sailing....

"The location is great and the entire property setting is beautiful. The rooms are nice and we had a lagoon room which feels even more private. The Japanese restaurant is very nice, overall the food is good. It’s still one of the great resorts in the Indian Ocean. "

"Absolutely loved our stay at Solana Beach Hotel! The staff is just fantastic, friendly and very attentive! Only suggestions are to have more bins around to leave rubbish and the toilet would benefit a fresh coat of paint."

Exceeded our expectations, amazing room with the most stunning sea views, fantastic choice of freshly cooked food at every meal time, cocktails shaken for you whenever you wish, water sports to try on the most incredible white sand beach in turquoise waters!! "A little disorganised at check in. Reception staff insisted I present them with a voucher before they would give us access to the room. I had no voucher (is this the 1990s???) and would not accept that a booking in my name would in fact be my reservation!! Not ideal after a 12 hour flight from London. 90 minutes completely wasted and frustrating to say the least. However, that was the only issue with the hotel. "Value for money if you're on a budget. Positives are location with a private beach and kind of out of the crowded spots of Mauritius. Excellent staff and Mr. Shreeni the manager is an asset for their company. He manages his clients efficiently. Negatives are power cuts & related water problems are there, bit of a old villa and not a carpeted one for a 3 star status. "

"The flats are next to a very busy road with morning and evening heavy traffic and next to three discos with a lot of weekend night actions and noise. The flats are spacy and awere nicely build but meanwhile lack repair and maintenance and thus appear to be rundown."

"The hotel was unbelievably amazing. The check in was slow and lengthy however once the formalities were done we could not fault the hotel on anything. Excellent service Excellent Food Excellent facilities We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would return in a heart beat."
