Couldn’t have been happier with this rental. Felt right at home and really appreciated the small touches, such as music for the piano and plenty of books/games for the kids. The views were spectacular. Host was responsive and helpful with all questions, although we certainly did not have any concerns. Would highly recommend and would gladly stay here again.

We loved the location and space it provided. We had room to roam and enjoyed the small pond and canoe rides. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Then only downfall was the amount of flies present.

It was such a great place. There was a lot of things to do on the property (play basketball, cornhole, fishing, swimming, ect). The only thing I would say is bring bug spray! Mosquitoes are bad! Everything else was great. We loved spending time on the deck.

We booked this place a while back almost randomly by picking a place on the map. Turned out to be a great choice. Absolutely beautiful views from the house. The pictures were accurate and the host was great. Felt good from the moment we drove up. And it is close enough to enjoy many of the sites in SD while being far enough away to feel secluded.

Chill is an understatement. This place is absolutely gorgeous! Perfect location, beautiful house/property and wonderful views. We would have liked to enjoy the outside more, but a rare spring blizzard blew in late on day 2. Freezing cold, snowy and windy on the outside, but so warm and cozy on the inside. Made the blizzard almost as if it wasn't there. This is the perfect place to chill. Fully stocked, plenty of room and close to town.

The weather outside was frightful
But the fire was so delightful. Our family lives in several states so we decided to rendezvous at a location where everyone had approximately the same miles to travel. This home is not only convenient but beautiful. Although it was bitter cold we entertained ourselves playing games, watching football, breaking bread but mostly sharing love and life this Christmas. The home was clean and had most everything we needed. Plenty of room to accommodate all eleven of us. Lovely home and location. Would enjoy a return visit in the spring or summer.

Fabulous place for family fun
We stay here when we come to the Black hills for a family reunion. Second time we have stayed on this property. Great fishing for kids on the pond out back. Beautiful lawn yard area to play in on. Well stocked kitchen. We love coming to visit wish we could spend more time on the property but most of the time we are at a family lake cabin.

Loved our experience
We used this property as a base of operations for a weeklong hunting trip this Fall. It checked every box for us. It was spacious with 5 separate sleeping rooms (the basement is technically its own bedroom suite) and plenty of beds. The house was clean and in great condition. We enjoyed the property, it has scenery, space, and privacy. Doug was awesome to work with and contact with. We are hoping to stay with him again next year.
