"From the warm welcome at the airport pickup, to the friendly and wonderful front desk staff, to the beautifully maintained ground and our very comfortable and classy room this stay was 5 star. Highly recommended and we really enjoyed our stay! Excellent location to find cute coffee shops, little stores and great dining options all steps away. The restaurant on site is also very good and we enjoyed both lunch by the pool and a lovely rooftop breakfast. Can't wait to go back! "

"We recently spent 16 nights in Belize and this was the third of three properties we stayed in. It was by far and away our favourite. Firstly, the setting is in a very quiet and peaceful part of the island, surrounded by wonderful fruit trees and jungle.Secondly, the welcome, even before we’d got to the property was very warm and that continued once we arrived at the property. Nothing was too much trouble and was delivered with a genuine warmth and friendliness.Thirdly, the property is very well appointed and has a wonderful raised deck and swimming pool area from which you can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the nearby animals, birds in particular which are plentiful on the property.We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone and if we revisit Belize again one day, we will be back to Exotica fruit farm."

"We recently traveled to Punta Gorda with our two young children and had an wonderful stay at the Hickatee. The off-grid property is not far from town but feels like a peaceful retreat in the jungle. We loved hearing howler monkeys! The grounds include a jungle path where you can explore and look for wildlife, a small splashing pool the kids loved, and a relaxing sitting area nearby. You also have access to the main house where you can cook for yourself, make coffee, use the fridge, relax and play games. The cottages were charming and comfortable. There’s no air conditioning, but we didn’t miss it. The only small issue we had was regulating the water temperature in the shower.Our host, Allison, was fantastic. Before we arrived, she helped us arrange all of our tours, which made planning so much easier. Once we arrived, she kept us updated about the tours. Her communication made everything feel effortless. One of the highlights of staying at the Hickatee is access to the butterfly farm. It’s a fascinating experience where you can learn about the life cycle and business of butterflies. We also opted for the meal plan and are so glad we did. Allison is a wonderful cook and went above and beyond to accommodate our family’s food allergies and intolerances. I never had to worry about reactions, and honestly, I haven’t eaten that well in a long time.Hickatee felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend!"

"My husband and I absolutely loved our stay. Tina and Gary were super friendly and knowledgeable, and they had 2 very cute dogs! The place was just as described. Quiet, simple, peaceful. Loved having access to the kayaks. Good snorkeling and fishing. Kitchen accessible at all times. Drinks and snacks always available. Private chef for dinner. Super affordable . What's not to love? We will definitely be back! "
