It’s time to make your summer vacation plans! Pamlico Cottage’s Summer Season begins Saturday, June 14th & runs through Saturday, September 6th. Our Summer Season is a 7 night minimum stay with check-in & check-out on Saturday.
Enjoy your stay in our charming, vintage Cottage directly on the water. The 4-mile wide view across the Pamlico River puts our guests in a front-row seat to the River and the wildlife that call Eastern North Carolina home.
Relax! Nap on the screened-in porch, fish from the pier, bird watch for bald eagles, osprey, blue heron, or pelicans. In the warmer months, skate & dolphins regularly swim by.
The pier is a great place to enjoy a day on the water and to view a spectacular sunset from the large deck at the end of the 100-foot dock.
The swim deck and ladder provide easy access to the sandy-bottom Pamlico River. We encourage wearing water shoes. Wade out as far as you like, the water is usually about 3-4 feet deep. (No diving from the pier!)
Special Notes:
We are pet-friendly. Please use the checkbox in the number of Guests section during booking to include your pet (pet fee applies).
Do not tie anything larger than the kayaks to the pier as it is not built for boat docking.
Inflatable paddle boards, floats and 2 kayaks are available for your enjoyment during your stay at Pamlico Cottage. Life jackets are provided & required.
Fish from the end of the pier or drop a line along the dock and catch your own crabs! (NC fishing license required.)
Everything you need is provided at the Cottage - all linens, towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas, even toiletries, sunscreen & bug spray!
Pamlico Cottage sleeps 6 people with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, including an outdoor shower in our private, 3-Season bathroom just steps from the back door (our outdoor bathroom is open mid-March through November).
We give extra-special attention to our cleaning practices. All linens are stripped after each guest and clean linen - including mattress pads, bedspreads, blankets, sheets, pillow covers & pillowcases - are put in place for the next guests.
All surfaces, including floors, are thoroughly cleaned using best practices and recommendations for the health and safety of our guests. We provide cleaning supplies for guest use along with hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray & wipes.
Check-in is contact-less. Guests receive a code to access the Cottage and let themselves in.
Gather 'round the big dining room table or relax in the living room. Enjoy a family game night or watch a movie. There is a variety of board games, a Roku TV & a DVD library for our guests.
The kitchen island seats 4, the large dining room table seats 6, and the table facing the River in the front living room seats 4. There is also a vintage wicker bar on the screened-in porch!
The kitchen has an electric stove/oven, double sink, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and a variety of small appliances, including an air fryer, an air-pop popcorn maker & an ice cream maker. Laundry is handled by the washer & dryer.
There are 2 exterior security cameras; one at the front of the Cottage facing the water and one facing the parking area at the back of the Cottage.
We have a charcoal grill available for guest use. Please bring your own charcoal & clean the grill after use. Our cleaning crew DOES NOT clean the grills.
In cool weather, enjoy a cozy fire in the Vermont Castings wood stove. Please bring your own firewood - make sure that nothing is on top of the stove and that the damper is open.
