rooms are very nice. The property itself is old and a little bit rundown, the stairwell shows this the most. Overall, it's an affordable place and well worth the stay.
The Hotel is based on a Japanese style. In fact I believe it is based on a "Love hotel" in Japan.
I found the whole Hotel to be dirty, squalid and distasteful. The staff were utterly unfriendly and could not give a fig for the customers. The Illustrated room in the Hotel description is clearly the very best one they have and the photo was taken YEARS ago.
The Shower overflowed flooding the bedroom and when we checked the drain-hole was completely clogged with Hair and soap scum. The room is tiny with insufficient room to walk around the end of the bed to the bathroom, you have to climb over the bed.
The round bed was cute to look at but lumpy and too small to sleep on in comfort. The aircon worked but was very noisy and the whole Hotel was swarming with mosquitoes as all outside windows were open with no screens.
The Hotel is just a bit too far from the nearest Metro station if you have suitcases. Thee is a Taxi rank outside which is useful as you will always want to go away from this particular lack-lustre area of Beijing.
I would very much recommend going somewhere else, almost anywhere else.
