"Really pleased to have stayed here when on an overnight trip to Exeter. Had a lovely dinner in the evening in the restaurant. It was busy with all the Christmas groups but had a really good atmosphere and we were served quickly even though busy. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. Slept really well. It was nice being just outside Exeter and had a wander around small town and along the quayside before leaving. Would definitely stay again, with the friendly team looking after...

"Lovely stay at The Red Lion. The apartment was delightful and the perfect place to stay before a day in Exeter. The pub is very dog friendly and our 2 pups were made to feel very welcome. "Our Christmas getaway was perfect. The team were exceptionally helpful and friendly. No ask was too much trouble. Breakfast was epic and relaxed. Dinner was superb, fantastic simply cooked pub favourites and a couple of alternative choices for those wanting something a bit different! The lunch lite bites ideal as was still full from breakfast but enough to keep us going after walks and catching up! Something for everyone. Hope to be back soon. "

The only thing that I would say tainted the stay was that I couldn’t turn the heating off in the room and with the room being small and at the top of the building, it was so, so hot. "It was a lovely looking room, although the blind was broken. The staff were very friendly however I was not given the code to leave via the gate outside of opening hours (it was not on the key ring as it apparently should have been) and spent the morning stuck and unable to leave. Then breakfast (which was supposed to run from 9 until 11) was not available because the staff were locked outside and no-one had turned up with a key. I had to give up and go elsewhere for breakfast, at my expense....

"Fabulous property in a perfect location. Communication with Tony, was excellent from start to finish. The property was everything we needed for the week, even if the weather maybe was not. A fabulous space even with 3 teenagers. But the piece de resistance has to be the view! We could have sat on that deck all day every day and never moved! It was mesmorising.
