"We had issues with leaking and didn’t have a sofa or bed for the 2nd night. The lady we’d been in comms with throughout check in and who had been texting us all the rules then totally ignored us. I’ve since been told her phone wasn’t working which I find strange. And then no attempt to make up for a spoilt night away. I’d expect at the price to be compensated for not having a bed to sleep in or sofa to sit on. We only stayed as it is in such a remote area we had no option. There were so many...

"We decided to stay at the cabin as it was relatively close to Alten towers. The location was beautiful, peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. On arrival we noticed there was a code lock but hadn't got a code to open the door. I called the owner and she was abrupt and gave me the code. The kids then wanted to go into the hot tub but found it was hardly bubbling and obviously wasn't working properly. Later that night i noticed there was no logs for the log burner. "A fantastic find for our needs. The owner was exceptionally helpful. Central to the city. Great value for money. We had a great room. However a few things to make it better : 1- the oven/microwave didn’t work even after trying a few times. It needs a master in engineering to make it work. "This is a beautiful quiet cottage finished to a high standard with everything you need for a chilled relaxing holiday.Communication with Ray and Julie was great and the pool was an amazing addition to the cottage.The location is perfect for walking Dovedale 30 mins, Tissington trail 20 mins and the Old Dog Pub which was very welcoming 10 minutes walk.Cannot fault the whole package and would not hesitate to revisit in the future."

"Room was nice enough and warm. Last time I stopped in that room it stunk of damp.. it was alot better this time. As a positive they actually remembered to give me my free wine. Breakfast is spot on!!! Staff are lovely."
