Bedford stay
Our stay at this location was good the owner and care taker were always in touch with us and available at a minutes notice. There were a few small things that could have been better but overal it was an enjoyable stay.

TV’s unhooked, batteries dead in remote, towels are old and smelled, kitchen has general cleaning but deep down dirty, fridge leaking, one bed not made up and we booked for 4, only 3 towels supplied. No extra garbage bags, mouse droppings under kitchen sink.

When choosing a location to stay, I always seek out a home with air conditioning. This listing said it did; however this two story home only has a small cooling unit in the downstairs living area. This does not come close to cooling the entire home and the upstairs bedrooms are not cooled at all. When we entered the home, it was 85 degrees and it stayed that way for the entire stay. It was not enjoyable. The owner brought us a fan but that is not what I thought I was paying for. In addition, you can expect that the home has only the bare minimum in supplies. There is a kuerig with no cups, a TV remote with no batteries, and a dishwasher with no soap. The towels are thin and old. You can also expect to share the home with a tenant downstairs which was not in the listing. It was loud and the dog barked in the night. We would not rebook.

Be Aware
There is not enough room to leave my full review - it's that bad. 1. “Please note the property has a basement that is not available for guest(s).” That’s because someone else lives there! No mention of this on the listing. We were told when we showed up after a 2 day drive. Separate entrance and all but you could hear “the basement people”. 2. The previous tenant left his car in the driveway with permission of the property manager. He was allegedly coming to pick it up 4 days later. We had to park on the street (cuz the basement people had the other spot!) 3. Do not plan on using the BBQ. The grill itself was rust covered and the dilapidated brush was covered in dirt and old grease. 4. No coffee maker. I texted and the property manager called - told me he’d bring me one the next day. Never showed up. 5. The hand held shower in the main bathroom is like one you'd find at a campground. The tub itself has a very slow drain. You'll be standing in two inches of water. 6. We booked this 11 months in advance, texted the owner several times in the week leading up, even two hours before we arrived. The guy that showed us in (Chris) said he forgot we were coming. BTW, he was living in the very large master bedroom that is locked on the second floor. He did not stay while we were there but it was evident it was his room - and it was a mess. 7. Note that “Your Host” is not identified on either of the properties. I would not book this place ever again.
