Beautifully Restored 1890s Farmhouse in Hampshire, Illinois

This country farmhouse sits on a four-acre farmstead with gorgeous gardens and an historic barn. The wrap-around porch is inviting for afternoon relaxation and watching the beautiful sunsets. We are located just ten minutes off I-90 and a short drive from a variety of Fox Valley area attractions.

This property also serves as a retreat center. The owners live in an attached in-law quarters so they are on-site and available if needed.

Christmas Stay
Family enjoyed the "hominess" and quietness of the location. Everything was clean and cozy and decorated for Christmas. Stayed four days housing my adult children and grandchildren.

Great place for an out-of-the-way getaway
Met up with lifelong friends, and this was the perfect place just to spend time, relax, talk and cook together. Out in the country, but not too far from the airport and other conveniences, this property was exactly what we were hoping for our reunion. Thanks so much for a beautiful house and welcoming environment. We very much enjoyed our stay.

just beautiful! this was a perfect location for us for the weekend. We would have liked more time to just sit & enjoy the home & surroundings but had a busy 3 days visiting with family near by. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place in the far west suburbs.

Wonderful location for retreat
My chuch young adult group had a wonderfult time during our stay at the location. Everything was nice and clean. The property owner was very helpful with all of our requests. We really hope to come back next time!

Beautiful country setting getaway.
We had a very relaxing time here on our annual girls trip. Beautiful country setting. Wanted to relax by the pool, but the weather didn’t cooperate. Lots of shopping and great eating places not too far away. Highly recommend this place!

We loved this farmhouse on the outskirts of the western Chicago suburbs. Great for kids and very relaxing for us all. The property owner was very good at communicating with us and meeting our needs.

A very homey and pleasant stay
We were in town for my brothers wedding and this house was perfect. It was cozy and comfortable with so many beautiful quilts!! The kitchen was very well equipped with anything you may need. The little ones enjoyed going for walks and seeing the chicks and chickens . Jenny the host was very nice and provided a list with nearby stores and restaurants. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!!!

Mom's 90th Birthday
Jenny and Matthew were so responsive and helped make our celebration so memorable. Perfect country house with beautiful fireplace, well appointed kitchen and homey feel. The weather outside was frightful, but the fire was so delightful - highly recommend!

This bucolic oasis exceeded expectations
As a gathering of adult siblings and their children traveling from several states to meet up for a St Charles family wedding, we’d hoped to find a relaxing and roomy accommodation with maybe some history and charm, and found we’d hit the jackpot. The spacious and beautifully appointed rooms, the incredible light and views of snow covered fields, and the ease of check in by lovely hosts (providing fresh eggs from their chickens in the fabulously equipped kitchen), not to mention the bonuses of fireplace, wood stove, and piano, not only exceeded expectations, but gave us a blissful family reunion setting. We’re so grateful to Matthew and Jenny and hope to return in the future!

This house was the perfect setting for our celebration of parents' 60th wedding anniversary. The house provided multiple spaces where the 7 of us could gather for games by the fireplace or wood stove or piano or porch full of windows!

Peaceful and Relaxing.
We were in town with out adult children for a family wedding. This was the perfect home base for us. Beautifully updated. Quiet, peaceful surroundings. Nicely appointed kitchen--we were almost late for the wedding because we lingered too long at brunch in the screened in porch (using the fresh eggs thoughtfully provided by Jenny.) We will definitely be back!

Beautiful farmhouse in an amazing setting!
Jenny was responsive to every question before & during our stay in this lovely home. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. The home is very charming and met and exceeded all our needs and expectations. Our two boys (3 & 4 yrs) loved talking to and feeding the chickens. We had a wonderful stay and hope to make it back again.

Owner/Managers were very courteous, cooperative and considerate. We enjoyed the location and the setting in side of the house. It is a nice place for family gathering in a quite country setting.
