"Had extended family (12 of us) all staying in one place including a toddler, young kids, tweens and 6 adults! The place was perfect for what we needed. The pool was a big win, excellent amenities in terms of crockery, glasses, cutlery kitchen equipment etc. Garden was lovely and we had almost no complaints. The only comment we have is that the property is very tired and must be very difficult for Marianne to keep clean by herself. This is not a major complaint from us as there were several...

"One of the beds on second floor was uncomfortable, trip hazards for young children, particularly in kitchen area. On the plus side, the chateau is very well equipped, beautiful crockery, dishes and bowls. Stunning location, historic chateau with ancient aspects. We really enjoyed our stay and thank Katia and Gerhard for their attention to detail. We thoroughly recommend this property and its location. "

"The house is in a nice location. The open plan downstairs is very nice and the lounge area has been updated with new sofas and TV since the photos. The kitchen is a good size and very well equipped, so easy to stay home and cook meals if you don't want to drive to eat out. The whole house was exceptionally clean. And the owner was very helpful. The only thing that let it down was the upstairs - The nice large shower room next to the master bedroom needs a toilet in it as the only upstairs...

Very old house, including antique door fastenings, but cosy and there are plenty of chairs and sofas to lounge in for that late night beer or coffee. "This is a beautiful property in a stunning remote location. Unfortunately the experience was dampened due to several issues when we arrived at the property. 1. No welcome to the property, no advice on location or local amenities. 2. Paid a substantial fee for wood for the log burner which was very expensive considering it’s in a large storage shed and collected from local woodland and not kiln dried. "This is a very well run Gite with lots to do in the grounds and buildings. As it is a conversion of an old farmhouse it is a bit dark and some of the appliances are a bit dated - but it all works. There are loads of walks around the park and the old trails. As you are in the country there are the usual flies and bugs to contend with but those who love nature will feel right at home. We took our dog and it did not get on too well with the owners young Boxer dog (he was just a bit nosy vs angry)...
