Some Hurricane damage still not repaired (breakfast ceiling). Room was fine and comfortable. Breakfast staff and food not up to standards. Staff didn't want to be there, no Orange Juice, no bowls for Oatmeal, no milk for Oatmeal. No means of making toast. Toast arrived after eggs were cold.

We arrived and the woman working was very overwhelmed, helping customers with all types of things, but she kept her calm and was so nice. We liked the location that was close to major places and had lots of parking. Our room was clean but the bed dipped in the middle majorly. I would stay here again.

1. My reservation was for a room with wheelchair access but when I arrived my reservation was changed. I can only surmise that it was changed due to the "two adult" portion of the reservation being recognized, but the wheelchair access was ignored. Staff wasn't able to change rooms because of unavailability. 2. Although staff was extremely courteous, especially the breakfast waitress, Jennel Williams, who made my experience at this Holiday Inn tolerable by almost making me forget the room debacle, I don't intend to book at another Holiday Inn. This is the first time my reservation was ignored and my child and I were inconvenienced. I do believe this could have been avoided.

We ended up leaving at 4 am due to lack of amenities- ev everything as closed including dining. Only one staff person running everything, filthy towel left by a previous guests hanging in the shower and moldy smell in the room. Wast of money.

The evening desk person, Charles, was extremely helpful after I had damaged and basically destroyed my cell phone. Helped make my stay less stressful. Hotel is very nice. Going through some renovations so pool and other areas are not available. View of salt marsh is super.

The staff was never behind the desk. Stating they were short staffed. Once we got to our room it looked ok and was big. However, we got to the bathroom to shower and there were roaches everywhere. We took pictures and when I tried to call the front desk they couldn’t be reached. I went down stairs only to find them out back hanging out with people. They couldn’t give us another room because they were booked, but stated they would clean very good tomorrow. We woke up the next morning to find the floor by the window and AC unit soaked. One of our pieces of luggage and clothing inside were soaked. We got back around 2pm and noticed the cleaning lady a couple rooms down. Our room had not been cleaned yet and we were going to show her exactly where the problem was. We left an hour and half later only to find the cleaning lady had passed our room(the door tag was not on the door) and was no where by her cart or room to let her know. When we advised the front desk of our issues the stated they would have the manager call and we would be able to switch rooms for the second night. We never got a call. When we returned that evening we were told the manager had left but they would pass the message. Second night more roaches and were around the nightstand and beds. My daughter in law and 4.5month old slept in the car. The only thing that was done was we were given points for a free night at any of the holiday inn express or affiliated locations. I would not ever recommend staying here.

I stayed in the Hotel from 10-22 to 10-25- Not once did I get my bed made for my stay there. Not once did I get clean towels for my stay there. My 2 garbage pails were full a bag was full. The front desk staff was very friendly and nice. The room was large, but very outdated. (I know they are working on renovations - but I didn't see any actual work going on). The Dining Room was greatly understaffed - one person for the whole Dining Room. Service was slow, but I understood why. The breakfast 'buffet' on Saturday morning was AWFUL. Undercooked sausage links, cold potatoes, grits and scrambled eggs. That was it. You could request toast from the kitchen and I did ask for some fruit. Definitely not worth the money. I would not stay here again.
