On our road trips, we have stayed in many hotels and motels, the Shady Lady was a unique and wonderful experience! Incredible desert views, lots of wildlife, and yes, a delicious breakfast! Extraordinarily pet friendly, more so than any hotel we’ve stayed at.

We didn't know (because Expedia didn't emphasize is) that the Shady Lady is located about 35 miles north of Beatty, NV. Because of that we ended up driving 70 miles, round trip, just to find our evening meal. The property itself has an interesting decor, as it was a brothel until about 12 years ago. We stayed in the Victorian Room. It is very lavender, with gold accents, interesting lamps and tasteful pictures of half naked women. Breakfast was served on vintage dishes. The coffee and conversation around the table were good. One of the owners, Jennifer, was sweet and attentive. We enjoyed our visit.

When I booked this place, I thought it was in Beatty Nev , turned out to be 32 miles out of town and it used to be a brothel . We stayed in the cabin and absolutely loved it! The hosts were very nice and served us a very nice breakfast . Highly recommend

We loved this experience and this stay was definitely an experience! The staff were so kind and helpful, we loved the breakfast. They even suggested a more scenic drive that we would have missed out on. The Shady Lady is a must stay!!

This is a unique place stay. Wonderful Hosts, beautiful peacocks and the guests we meet while we were there we amazing people with great conversation. A couple from Israel, a couple from the UK and a couple from PA.

Smelled like urine, no TV nothing to do. 45 minutes away from nearest restaurant. Pool hasn't been cleaned in months. They keep it so dark you need a flashlight just to get to the front door to leave. . They don't keep the outside clean and it was just a bust for us. Unless your there to sleep only than go for it. We checked in and left within 4 hours. Keep my money they need it worse than me.

I liked the private cabin facing the desert and the sunrise. Very cool place to stay overnight while traveling. There are peacocks walking around and on the roofs and you can pick up plenty of peacock feathers to put in a hat. The breakfast was home cooked from scratch...very nice treat. The only thing i would recommend is that there be newer pillows...the ones on the bed have no life left in them and the mattress is older. But hey it used to be a working brothel...lol
