5/5 Excellent
Stylish Mid-Century Modern villa with wonderful view
"We loved our 2 week stay in this stylish 1960s Mid-Century Modern bungalow with Lough Corrib at the end of the garden. The building is very original, retaining period features with some sympathetic updating in kitchen and bathrooms. The views out over the lough are mesmerising. Building manager Mike could not have been more helpful.
The villa was constructed as a fishing lodge and that is the theme that runs through the building. It is an ideal base for touring the picturesque Galway and Connemara region.
I'd just suggest that the hardwood (teak?) window frames and other exterior woodwork get remedial attention soon to sharpen up the outward appearance of the building and prevent deterioration of this period gem."
