We have long hesitated to write an honest review, but we do feel the need to warn upcoming guests about what to expect. "The very kind hostess gave us great advice during our weeklong stay. The gite is fantastic - comfortable beds, ample bathrooms, and nicely equipped kitchen. Avernes is a lovely town, close to many other small villages and beautiful countryside, but also easy drive to Monet’s house and gardens and larger towns. The restaurant in town offers delicious food, and the butcher is well provisioned…both an easy walk from the gite. Highly recommended, Thanks Sandrine!"
