"This is a typical roadside motel from the outside, but that impression vanishes when you open the door. The interior has been upgraded to a high level of finish, with comfortable mattresses and pillows, and the walk-in shower and large, thick towels are outstanding. The advantages of a motel are still there: it’s convenient to be able to drive up to your door, and outdoor seating is supplied for each room. "

"Bring your groceries and leave your worries behind. This out-of-the-way vacation cottage is a great place to settle in and watch the waves. We spotted seals, eagles and fishing boats gliding past. The road onto the island, with it's twists, turns and one-lane bridge, adds to the charm. The property provides a sense of isolation but neighbours are nearby if needed. The owner is super-friendly and was reachable throughout our stay. The cottage is well-equipped and quickly feels like home. The fireplace cannot be beat on a chilly fall evening and easily made up for the lack of a TV. Cell coverage was good for us throughout our stay. A couple of things to note in the description: There are two bathrooms but only the downstairs one has a shower. The laundry in the cottage is not for guest use, though laundry service is available. We would definitely come here again."
