"Mary and Pastor were wonderful hosts! I stayed for 10 days, and they treated me like a member of their family. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and very filling. They also helped me get oriented and explore the sights in and around Bayamo. One day, my friend and I bought ingredients for cooking and Mary helped us turn them into a delicious dinner! The room was comfortable and spacious, and there was a generator so we still had power during the frequent power outages."

"The casa owner is a talkative guy knowing few languages. He said he is a chef of several casas and hotels (past) so feel free to try out his dinner if you stay there. I didn’t have chance to try as my booking was last minute when he did not have time to prepare ingredients."

"Horrible experience. I first booked the Telegraph Hotel in Bayamo because I heard so much about it and when trying to check in they informed me that they didn’t have hot water and they had to move me to another hotel of the same chain Isla Azul, hotel that I didn’t have any intention to stay at. I tried to cancel the reservation through Expedia which is the website I always use to book my trips. After explaining that I was not getting what I paid for, the Expedia agent on the phone wouldn’t help...
