"we loved it. great spot to start our walks from. the whole 'home' experience was great"

"The hosts were great, the place was clean, everything we needed for a short stay was there. Everything was marked well, easy to find, and clear instructions were set out for the use of amenities in/around the property. Bonus points for the cruelty free products that were supplied. There were a couple of small things that would have really gave it that extra something though. It would have been nice to have a little space to sit outside on such nice days, even just enough room for a patio chair...

"The Gower Guest House perfectly matched our needs and fully met our expectations. The rooms were extremely comfortable, and the location was both quiet and central. The hosts were exceptionally accommodating. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone visiting St. John's."

"Bad experience. Door closed, call emercency no, learned that I have been transferred to ABBA INN on Queen's Road ?? again door locked & no enveloppe with the keys for the door and for the room, long wait outside on the street, lost my evening waiting for help, finally a russian person gave me a key for room 6 in ABBA INN."

"This was a great place to stay! It is in a great location to day trip to most of the Avalon Peninsula including St. John’s. You are so close you could walk to 3 whale watching tours and for the adventurous it is a 4km walk to the Bay Bulls lighthouse on the East Coast Trail. The balcony looks out over Bay Bulls which was great for the never ending search for whales (bring binoculars). It was very clean, had everything we needed and was very quiet and private from the house. The hosts were quick...

"I wasn't ready for the 36 stairs to reach the unit, or the loud bass from the Dance club next door on the weekend. Probably better suited to a younger renter."

"Wonderful location, within walking distance to everywhere. Well appointed with all the amenities of home. We definitely recommend staying here and the hostess is fabulous to work with."
