"Given that it was my first time to Palermo, I didn't know what to expect regarding our accommodations at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa. Upon entering the lobby, we knew it was going to be indeed "grand" and live up to its name. The staff was both helpful and friendly and our deluxe double rooms were much larger than one normally encounters in Europe. The hotel is perfectly situated in an area where everything is convenient - from restaurants and bars to shopping and major local attractions. We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay, but it was promptly repaired as soon as we alerted the front desk. More importantly though, this is a hotel where the staff is willing to go above and beyond. When we encountered an issue with our rental car while parking to check in, the hotel General Manager Signore Tintori personally intervened on our behalf, especially valuable since none of us spoke Italian. He quickly diffused the situation and alleviated a problem that could have escalated. He even took the time to follow up the next day to ensure everything was in good order. We couldn't have managed without his assistance. Without hesitation, we would return to this property when visiting Palermo again."

"Note that there is no elevator. This is the ONLY thing that might pose a problem if you have mobility issues. Otherwise, quattro continue is right there! There are buskers, but I enjoyed and relaxed to their music. Excellent restaurants and cafes, close to most historical sights, lovely hosts. "

"Amazing location! Right off the main street, yet quiet enough. The staff is wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious each morning. So many great items to choose from. We were able to park our rental car just down the street for free the whole time we were there. I highly recommend this hotel."
