When we arrived, they had difficulty finding our booking and the staff spoke very little English. The hotel is quite dark with dark wood furnishings which is not very comfortable. Although under the impression that we had booked a room with a shower and bath, we had a jacuzzi bath with a shower head in it. There was nothing to attach the shower head to so had to hold it. Also, the tap to fill the bath didn’t work. In one of our rooms, the bath plug was stuck so it wouldn’t drain the water away. When we contacted reception they didn’t understand and with the help of another guest translating, sent a maintenance guy up who was unable to fix the problem, yet they didn’t offer to change the room either. There was a nasty stain on the mirror (maybe wood varnish) that had ran and a lipstick mark on the wall. On our second morning we woke with lots of bites on our legs so maybe bed bugs?
This hotel was basic, with only a local restaurant next door for use for breakfast (Khmer breakfast only). It did have fantastic air con and bathroom amenities however.
