Full Description:
Named "The Iron Lady" to honor its proximity to the Kennebec River and Bath Iron Works (a working shipyard that was established in 1826), this spacious family-friendly apartment is located just 10-min walking distance from Bath's quaint downtown. Looking for fun day trips? You are within easy driving distance to epic sandy beaches like Popham and Reid State Parks, endless nature preserves, breweries, and quintessential coastal towns like Wiscasset, Boothbay and Rockport.
The Iron Lady was built in 1901. We purchased this home in May 2022. As local Bath residents and Maine natives, we have enjoyed, and will continue to work diligently, to bring this beautiful home to its fullest potential. The Iron Lady is divided into two units - Unit 1 is the gorgeous and newly renovated apartment where you will stay (2nd and 3rd floors), and Unit 2 is rented by our long-term tenant. Enjoy the elevated and tranquil vibe of Unit 1 - beautifully laid out, fully equipped and stylishly decorated.
At The Iron Lady we are committed to supplying you with all the comforts and conveniences of home while supporting sustainable habits. From cleaning to personal hygiene products, our goal is to limit as much single use plastic as possible. During your stay, you can try out the products we love and provide! We are also passionate about composting. If you are new to composting, no worries! We’ve created signs to help guide you through the process. Lastly, most of the furnishings in the space were carefully selected for their green materials and values. We chose organic and GOTS certified textiles whenever possible.
