Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

Situated on six acres with 1,600’ of private shoreline, this quintessential Maine summer cottage also boasts a private dock – you don’t have to go anywhere to enjoy a Maine vacation!

Trees line the private drive leading up to the house, ensuring privacy on this six-acre peninsula with 1,600 feet of ocean front. There is ample room for parking in the circular drive, with a stone-based fire pit to the east for roasting s'mores.

Access the ocean from your own private float, complete with a swim ladder. Get ready for kayaking, canoeing, birding, and fishing along a beautiful coastline that winds in every direction. A private enclosed shower awaits outside, or soak in the ocean-view tub inside.

LIVING AREA

Enter the foyer under the covered porch and you’ll find a walnut-accented den, outfitted with a flat-screen TV. Kick back on the sofa (which converts into a full-size sleeper). French doors provide added privacy.

The classic knotty pine living room boasts beautiful views down the New Meadows River and across to Merritt Island. A wood-burning fireplace provides added ambience. There’s room for everyone to gather here or spill out onto the wraparound deck.

KITCHEN & DINING

The dining area is focused around an old English oak table that seats 8. Outside is a screened dining space where you can enjoy home-cooked meals.

The chef in your group will love the modern kitchen. You’ll find plenty of counter and cabinet space, an electric stove/oven, two refrigerators, a toaster, a toaster oven, a blender, a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a microwave. If you're in the mood for barbeque, head outside and fire up the grill.

BED & BATH

The master bedroom features a queen-size bed and clear views of the water and woods. There is plenty of closet space, a mahogany dresser, and desk.

Across the hall is a bedroom with a twin-over-twin bunk bed. The original antique wallpaper gives this green-hued room a special charm.

Down the hall is the distinguished third bedroom, which features a king-size bed, wood-paneled walls, and a built-in desk with ocean views.

The fourth bedroom has an authentic New England feel with original wallpaper, a full-size bed, and ocean views. To the right of this room is a bathroom with a tub/shower combination.

The fifth bedroom is up a private staircase from the kitchen and has a king-size bed.

A second full bathroom has a walk-in shower, deep jetted tub with ocean views, and a washer/dryer.

THE LOCATION

Seal Cove is in the Sabino Colony area of West Bath. There’s a town ramp at the end of the drive to launch small boats, and a meeting house to gather with others at potlucks and fairs.

You can bike or hike right from the house on quiet roads that lead to a 1,000-acre Nature Conservancy reserve at the Basin. Nearby beaches at Popham and Small Point offer a wonderful place to unwind. Bath and Sebasco Estates have golf and tennis on beautiful courses.

Pick up Maine ingredients for your culinary delights at the Plants seafood market, Bath Natural Market, Shaws, or Bracketts. Both towns offer up some of the best restaurants in mid-coast Maine.

Flying in? Seal Cove is a 15-minute drive from the Brunswick Executive Airport and 50 minutes from the Portland International airport. Concord Trailways buses connect to Portland and Logan International Airport in Boston. Amtrak services are available from Brunswick.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Amazing property but poor cleaning staff
This is a beautiful property and amazing older home! Our only issue was with the cleanliness that the cleaning company provided...there were insects in coffeepot, on floor, and counters. I would absolutely stay here again, but we needed to clean before we settled in. Should not have been charged for cleaning service! Otherwise, fabulous property!!

Magical spot
This was our second summer here. A magical spot, spacious home, and well-equipped kitchen. We saw a bald eagle right on the property! The island across the river is fun to explore, and there are beautiful state parks nearby. Property manager was incredibly responsive. The starter supplies could be better stocked, but communication with manager was easy. Renters with young children should take note that there are very steep stairs, a porch railing that’s enticing to climb, and many doors to the outside (where there is easy water access), and so constant vigilance is needed. Also, there was no ladder for getting on and off dock into and out of water, making swimming ill advised.

Perfect 3-family summer getaway
Secluded, stunning setting, peaceful sprawling property perfect for our families with toddlers. Walked in the woods, spent loads of time on stand up paddle boards, explored Merritt Island on foot, picked berries, and just slowed down. Property is clean, well equipped, and gorgeously situated.
