A peaceful oasis
Beautiful, cosy, comfortable hotel if you don't need air conditioning. Ideal location and very friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent with a good combination of buffet and menu. The only downside for us was no lift. Unless a ground floor room is available, people with impaired mobility should not book this hotel, which is a shame.

Great place to stay in Bath
The staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. They helped to make our visit in Bath more wonderful, giving us a map and advice on where to go and what to see. We arrived later and were assigned a room on the top floor - climbing the steps was a bit of a hassle, the bathroom and shower accommodations were a bit small, but other than this the facilities were very comfortable. We were able to find a place to park in front of the hotel and didn't have to get back in our car until we left town, everything was within walking distance. Our breakfast was wonderful.

Excellent hotel
We stayed at Dukes for three nights and found it to be a delightful hotel, the staff was very helpful and cheerful and the room was comfortable and spacious. We thouroughly enjoyed the stay and recommend it to anyone who visits Bath. It is close to the city center and within walking distance of most attractions. We plan to stay there again if we return to Bath.

Great hotel for pet owners.
Dukes Hotel is a pet friebndly hotel which means that they will allow you to have a well behaved pet in your room. Understandably dogs were not allowed in any of the hotels public areas which should reassure those non pet owners visiting. The owners of the hotel were very helpful in signposting us to the nearest park to take our dog for exercise which was very close to the hotel and very convenient. Being able to bring my pet to such a lovely hotel was a pleasure and made me want to respect the surroundings as a consequence of that. The breakfast was very nice and the oweners were clearly keen to please and make sure the stay was a pleasant one. Being able to have a parking permit from the hotel in order to park near to it (subject to a space being available) was also a big bonus as it is difficult to find parking in bath. So the whole experience for my one night stay was perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to pet and non pet owners equally. I would definately come back there if I return to Bath.

A comfortable hotel in an outstanding location
The room was excellent, with many period features and a view up to Prior Park. The staff were very attentive- nothing too much trouble. We have added it to our list of good places to stay in Bath

Beautiful Georgian Hotel
A very comfortable and neatly maintained hotel with beautiful period decor. Loved the high ceilings and central location. Helpful, hands-on owners who welcomed us with a bottle of wine in our room.

Lovely for short break in Bath
Hospitable and lovely new owners who were warm and welcoming and offered a glass of champagne by the log fire, to kick off New Years Eve.

Decent
Overall, great location. Felt like I got. Good deal because I got upgraded. Second day, the room smelled strongly of. Leaning products. I had to open windows and run A fan to solve the issue. Also, wifi signal was nonexistent.

Wonderful hotel
A really wonderful comfortable clean hotel. We stayed in the Wellington suite which was very roomy and comfortable staff are really pleasant and helpful hotel is close enough to walk to the centre but also in a quiet area we were lucky and got a parking space outside the hotel so could see car from our room window. Parking permits are provided by the hotel. Hotel has lots of Georgian characters well worth a stay

Nice, tidy, good value for money. Very convenient for walking to all key locations - cinema, theatre, thermal spa and restaurants. Didn't touch the car all weekend. Staff very friendly and helpful, thanks for umbrella loan!

Birthday weekend to remember
We travelled to Bath for my partners 40th birthday and had never been before so we were really looking forward to experiencing the city. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted with warmth from the outset. The hotel is a fantastic example of Georgian architecture and has been renovated very sympathetically to a high standard. Our room was very kindly upgraded and we could not believe our eyes when we saw the size of it, beautiful high ceilings with a siiting room and four poster bed! The hotel itself is in walking distance from all of the main sightseeing areas and makes a great base for a visit to Bath.

Dukes Hotel, Bath - simply THE place to stay
We have tried a few hotels in Bath, going right the way up the scale to 5*. But the Dukes Hotel excels in it's ambiance, the charm of its staff, and the superb location, just about as central as you can get with the superb Hobourne Art Museum within 3 minutes walk. The suites are well worth paying a little extra for and the whole hotel carefully reflects Bath's Georgian heritage. In our opinion, this is 5*.

Dukes is perfect for Bath weekend break
we had a lovely time here and wished we could have stayed longer. It's not the cheapest option in the city but worth paying more for the location, huge bedrooms and really nice staff. We'll be back.

Dukes Hotel, Bath - Central and very friendly
We had a great stay here with very friendly staff, good food and excellent accommodation. The hotel itself is in a very quiet street and is only a 5 min walk from the town centre. It is a grade one listed building so worth a good look around. You get a permit from the hotel to park in the main street outside only yards away. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Underbart hotell
