"We had a wonderful weekend. We hiked to Anna Ruby Falls which was beautiful. Went to several great resturants which were all walking distance. "

"Awesome place to stay and relax. Inn keeper is too notch. Had a pretty rough storm the last night we stayed but Mike the Inn keeper was out there at 3am roght after it passed cleaning up debris from driveway, checking on the patrons vehicles and blocking of the stairwell to the lower observation deck due to a tree snapping in the wind storm and falling on the bottom stair case. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. "

"Comfortable, beautiful, homey, inviting, convenient. Staff needs a better understanding of local restaurants, and other offerings. Check in person did not know how to process my debit card. Even asked me if I had another card?"

"Check in was very simple and they upgraded our room at our request with us simply paying them the difference directly. Pros: This is an older property, charming, good quality clean linen, clean mattress (I always check seams and headboards for critters). Cons: Since it is older some of the walkways and steps are worn and could be difficult for someone unsteady on their feet. It was apparent a previous customer had smoked in the room but it was not overwhelming. The plumbing for the tub was slow and paint /caulking needed maintenance. Overall for the cost of the stay it was very acceptable. "

"The location is perfect. We parked the car upon arrival on Sunday and didn’t move until departure on Wednesday. We chose riverfront and greatly enjoyed the river sounds and breeze. We enjoyed our first trip to Helen. The continental breakfast is very basic ( microwave products ) but the stay was great and location perfect. Once we checked out we went to Unicoi and Anna Ruby falls. "
