I hv been staying here in my last few visits, the staff is extremely hospitable and friendly. They upgraded my room because Inam a frequent customer which is much appreciated. AC is cold enough and the only feedback for management is consider sound proofing windows for the outside facing rooms.
This is our second time staying at Pacific Palace Hotel. I recommended this hotel to my friends as we will be visiting Batam again on the weekend of 22 - 23 September. So a month ago, I booked 4 rooms for the group. On arrival, we were told by the counter staff that Room 713's window is visually blocked by the lift structure. So my colleague who stayed in that room has to shut down the window at all time. We asked for a change of room but was told that all rooms were taken up. Can the hotel management look into this issue of Room 713 and all other vertical and corresponding rooms? It was a killing joy for guests who have to put up with such living conditions. This will be the last time we are staying at Pacific Palace Hotel.
The window view of Room 713 is blocked by the lift structure visually. I was told by the front desk staff that there is no other rooms available on that night of our arrival on 22 September. We have to bear with the "no window view" until we check out of the hotel. This is the second time we stay at Pacific Palace Hotel and will be the last time. It is confusing that I have reserved 4 rooms online at a month ago and fully paid, so the hotel management failed to arrange a better room for us. The hotel staff told me that I should find out in my own capacity about the living condition of Room 713 before booking online. Please tell me how the hell should I know i have been allotted to Room 713 and also the living condition of Room 713 where my source of information comes only from the illustrations of the hotel website? Should not the hotel management be responsible in looking at Room 713 and other rooms affected by the lift structures?
Design of the hotel unique, like staying on a cruise ship. Conveniently located near Seafood restaurants and shopping mall. Room is dated though but clean. The kerb near the shower area is too low and water is splashing out to the toilet bowl area when showering. Just a note, the air in the room is a bit stale would be good if there's room freshner. Staff very friendly and helpful.
