"Our group (two couples) really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Check-in and communication with Cindy was a breeze. The cabin was comfortable for four adults, with two bathrooms and enough space to comfortably hang out in the living room together. The kitchen had basic equipment for cooking and a few essential pantry items like salt and oil. The view through the woods out to the water was beautiful. The hosts live on the property but we never bumped into each other. Location is great for exploring Sooke or any of the nearby parks, and the property is right on the Galloping Goose Trail. One downside to mention is the beds. The upstairs queen was extremely firm; as a back sleeper I didn't mind, but my partner is a side-sleeper and struggled to sleep the first night. He ended up sleeping in the bunk bed room for the rest of our stay, which he said was much more comfortable. Our friends stayed downstairs on the softer mattress, which they described as so soft it was almost concave and pushed them both into the middle of the bed. Some people might like that, but our friends weren't big fans! Just something to be aware of. We would all still happily stay here again and recommend it to others!"

"Everything was so lovely, including fresh flowers and fresh herbs in the suite! Trinita was very helpful with local info and anything extra we asked for. The tiny suite has everything, is quiet, plus a girgeous view and a short trail down to the dock on the Basin! "

The hosts were fantastic—friendly, responsive, and clearly put a lot of care and thought into every detail. There were so many great touches for kids, from games to outdoor activities, making it a truly family-friendly stay. You can tell this place was designed with love, and it really shows. "We had a group of 6 adults stay here in April 2025. The owner, Donovan, was great to deal with - very responsive and made the process easy. The house is located in East Sooke, so just across the water from Central Sooke (about a 15 minute drive). The house is great - very spacious, clean, well-appointed and quiet. Cozy living room area with a large couch, very spacious kitchen and dining area, hot tub, and steps to the water. We also enjoyed trying the crab trap! Highly recommended!"

"Just what we were looking for. What a gem! The house is very clean, had all the amenities and things you need. It was quiet, beautiful, comfortable, amazing. We really enjoyed out time staying there. Saw lots of wildlife from the property and were able to go hiking in some amazing locations near by. Scott was an amazing host. Thank you!"

"This is a special place. Peaceful and soothing decor and views, with wellness options on-site (next door), and healthy, organic foods that can be ordered from a menu. It is a place to exhale, and feel comforted. It is a great choice for those who want to reconnect with themselves, whether just as beautiful accommodations and views (and nearby parks and nature), or by adding some of the wellness options (reiki, sound healing, etc). Review the website for a sense of the options available!I stayed for 10 restful, restorative days. I did a combo of cooking for myself and ordering from the menu, and I did several of the wellness options. The host, Loretta, is true healer. Kind and insightful, she brings compassionate energy and caring to her work. Of course, the wellness services are optional, but I recommend it to those who are so inclined.Highly recommended."
