A lovely personalised space to spend 3 nights overlooking Lake Bonney, perfect backyard for our dog to sniff around in. A surprise welcome gift from our hosts was a very nice touch and the shampoo/body wash etc in shower was great, would definitely book again and highly recommend to family and friends 😊

Fantastic location and set up of this cute cottage! Communication with the property manager was great and they were very proactive with their communication (especially noting the high river levels when I visited). Great pet friendly set up too. Highly recommend!!

Immaculate & Great Location
We were delighted with our accommodation at Pelican retreat. It was immaculately clean and provided all we needed for a great stay. It rained all day on one of our 2 days' stay so it was nice to have a view of the lake to sit and watch. The garden was lovely and perfect for the dogs. Thank you. ☺️

Spectacular sunsets!
Loved our stay at Pelican retreat! Very relaxing & peaceful. Neat, tidy & well equipped, Paul & Leanne have put thought & effort into ensuring little touches are made to make your stay comfortable & enjoyable. The best thing about the stay is watching the sunset from the front verandah. Just spectacular!

Dog Friendly Weekend Away
Perfect spot to base ourselves while we explored the Riverland and see the Murray in flood. Fantastic to find a truly Dog friendly property where dogs are allowed inside and with a fenced backyard. Property was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Located along the edge of Lake Bonney, and an easy walk into Barmera township for supplies.

Pelican Retreat - wonderful
We had 3 nights in Barmera, right on the banks of Lake Bonney. The house was fabulous - had everything we needed and so comfortable. Our dog, Alfred, just loved being able to run along the riverside and we met lots of travellers camping nearby. Such a relaxing holiday. We'll be back!

Time ticked away too quickly at this very well maintained and comfortable place, with a peaceful view of Lake Bonney and excellent amenities. Stylish but simple and very well equipped, with a great bbq area and well cared for back yard. Just what our family of four needed, not wanting for anything.

Nice Getaway
This very nice property was exactly as advertised. The owners responded quickly during our stay as we had to get the bbq gas bottle filled. It is ready for the next guests now! :)

Great location
This is my second time to pelican retreat it such a lovely spot right on the lake. Easy walking to the main street and eating venues. Paul and Leanne are such wonderful hosts nothing is to hard for them always willing to help if needed. This trip no help required thank goodness. I will certainly be back again.

Stunning views
Paul and Leanne went beyond helping me firstly the WiFi then having a back up plan if needed as I had trouble with my car as I was about to leave. My whole experience was terrific the views of the lake was beautiful within walking distance to all the attractions in Barmera. I totally recommend this property you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to my next visit.
