The apartment is located in the city center, in the picturesque district of Sant Antoni market whose centenary will see from the balcony.

The area is excellent for exploring the city. Due to its strategic location, you can go either walking or in the countless transportation (bus, metro, bike, etc) to places, neighborhoods and most emblematic monuments of the city.

In just ten minutes walking, you will be in Las Ramblas, Plaza of Spain, the Passeig de Gracia, Rambla de Catalunya, Montjuic, Plaza Catalunya, the Gothic Quarter, the Raval, the gothic, or Maremagnum, among other examples.

Taking the subway home at 50 meters you will find in just 15 minutes at the feet of the Holy Family.

Definitely the best place to see the city.

Great location. Perfect neighborhood close to metro. Very clean. The loft is not really usable, perhaps a child or petite person. Easy check in, friendly staff. Perfect for 2 people.

Great spot
We enjoyed our stay, super location, cute, clean apartment. Checking in was hard, complicated, got into building but code to get into the apt didn't work. Called vrbo at 1:30 am to get in and owner did answer and help. Once we were in and settled things were great but it was unnecessarily stress producing for weary travelers. Make sure to get owner phone number ahead of time if you rent this lovely apartment.

The Wood House is a great base.
The Wood House is a great base to stay at on a trip to Barcelona. It is a 2nd floor apartment (there is a lift but we never used it) facing one of the entrances to Sant Antoni market. The photos are accurate. Noise was not an issue, although as I am a very light sleeper I always use ear plugs to sleep. There is air con so we were able to keep temperature comfortable for us. The WiFi was reliable, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom although small is functional, the shower has both hand held and rainfall attachment. We only used the kitchen for coffee and toast 😊 as we were out all day everyday. The apartment has a smart lock which means you need to have access to mobile data on your first visit. My mobile would not work in Spain 🙄 but luckily my son's did so this was not an issue for us but could be for less technical people (once in the apartment a physical key is available).

Location near Metro
If you are interested in traveling by the Metro this is a convenient place. A couple blocks away and you access a great way to get around. Staying at this apartment gives you the feel of a residence in Barcelona. Much more fun than a hotel vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment, it had everything we needed and the big market was right across the street. We only ate breakfast in as there were so many fabulous restaurants to try that were just a walk away. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Great Apt
Location was great! We loved the neighborhood. The elevator didn’t go to the 2nd floor and we had to walk up several stairs (normally would have been fine but had to carry a walker up and down). Look forward to visiting BCN again.

Great stay!
We had a fantastic three day trip at Manuel’s place. It was very clean, comfortable, stylish, and in such a great area! The check in process had technical difficulties but Manuel was very responsive and resolved it immediately. The rest of our trip was perfect. Would recommend this place to any travelers.

Barcelona central!
Great location in the middle of city! Restaurants and shops all around. Easy to walk to a lot of attractions. The room was very warm and cozy. The decoration just enhanced the feeling and experience of Barcelona. Only insight is the bathroom is a tad small, but overall we really liked the apartment.

We were really pleased with Manuel’s apartment next to Sant Antoni Market. Very accessible location with lots of food options available right in the immediate vicinity. The photos of the apartment are a true representation of the space. Cute and clean and quite comfortable for two.

Cosy apartment in very good location
This is a cosy base for exploring Barcelona. Most of central Barcelona is a 10 to 20 minute walk away, and local area of Sant Antoni has excellent shopping and eating and drinking facilities. I enjoyed being in the apartment and enjoyed the view from the balcony. The apartment facilities are very good and Manuel was very responsive and helpful throughout my stay

Great location, great host, a few issues
This apartment is in a perfect location. The host was great as well. We do feel that we should not have been charged for an extra person given the loft is not really a functional space, this place best suited for 2 people. We also thought there we not enough linens and the washer did not work. Easy fixes for the host but overall a cool place.

My sister and I came to visit for the Merced Festival and found the location of the Wood house to be perfect. The San Antoni metro station is one block away and the Airport bus is two blocks away. Plaza Espanya is 10 minute walk. The home is small and compact however has everything necessary for a stay. The kitchen has the basic equipment including a washer. The internet was fast and the AC worked great. Manuel was fabulous letting us enter earlier than posted times and due to electronic locks was able to let us in when we forgot the keys!!

Excellent Stay in Barcelona
It was our first time in Barcelona and Manuel’s apartment could not have been better situated. There are many good restaurants and grocery stores/markets nearby, and it was easy to access all of the major sites around the city. The apartment itself was very comfortable with all the amenities we could have possibly needed, and Manuel was always easy to get ahold of, even when we forgot our keys one time. Highly recommended!

Manuel was such a nice host. His nephew Pepo checked us in and everything went so smoothly. The apartment is right next to the metro so getting around is so easy and the apartment is right next to the San Antoni market which was so nice! Lovely stay. Great communication. Will highly recommend!

Fabulous location and beautiful well thought out apartment.
Manuel was very responsive when booking and greeted us at the apartment. He showed us what we needed to know and had good recommendations for places in the area. The apartment was extremely well kept, tastefully decorated and clean. The kitchen had all we need for the small meals we make there. The location was great, walkable to the Barcelona areas we needed. We have already recommended it to other friends and he will be the first we contact when we return.

A real experience of Barcelona
This property is wonderfully located near the metro, shops, restaurants and sites to see. We appreciated being in an actual neighborhood in Barcelona, close enough to major sites while enjoying the ambience of the area. A perfect finale to Spain
I recently stayed at The Wood House after a hectic 21/2 weeks traveling through Spain. I was museumed, cathederaled and art galleried out. All I wanted to do was relax and spend time in a very local environment. The Wood House was perfect, set in Sant Antoni and opposite the recently renovated Sant Antoni market with great with local restaurants and bars within easy walking distance I was in heaven. For those who want to explore more of Barcelona than just this neighbourhood it is an easy walk to the metro and also to La Rambla and the Mercado de la Bouqueria.The apartment was very comfortable and I cherished my evenings sitting on the balcony sipping a vermut watching the interaction of the locals. Manuel the owner couldn’t have been more attentive and certainly guided me in the right direction for local food. For me the best local restaurant, Can Vilaro, was downstairs. I would certainly recommend The Wood House to any one wanting to be in a lovely quite local neighbourhood when in Barcelona, but still within easy reach of the major tourist attractions.I for one can’t wait to get back.

Perfect for a small group
Property is full of character. Location is typically small for a central apartment but fully functional for a small group. We were three and loved the proximity to San Antoni market and other amenities. We were also able to walk around las Rambla directly from the apartment. Would recommend for a city visit.
