This property was almost perfect for my husband and I, our daughter and granddaughter. Re the check-in-our daughter's flight was delayed, which caused her and us to miss the check-in deadline, so we were charged a penalty (which we knew before hand). What with having to send passport, flight info, etc. and call from the airport upon arrival, I felt it was a fairly complicated check-in.
In addition to going over all of the apartment amenities and rules, Carlos also made a very nice booklet of restaurants to sample, which we used to good advantage.
There were a few cons- one was the lack of air conditioning in the tiny second bedroom. It had some shelves that could not hold a suitcase - no closet - and a huge window into the apartment well. which when opened, carried all of the apartment dweller's conversations up to the room. Two beds filled this room, which was really only big enough to have had one bed. It was fine for my daughter and granddaughter to snuggle in and visit and dress out of luggage laid out in the hall and in the second bathroom, but would not have been OK for my son-in-law, who would have wanted room for his luggage and to dress in this second bedroom.- and to not have to keep the door open in order to keep the room cool.
The ensuite bathroom has a treacherous tub, with no grab bars or mat, and the step-in and out was perilous. The queen bed filled the masterbed room with so little room on the sides that my husband immediately injured his toe on the frame, trying to hug the wall, getting to the bathroom.
We were asked to turn off the air conditioning during the day, which was a mistake, as the one day we did, it took a whole evening and overnight for the apartment to cool down!
The elevator did not work one day, which meant a six flight hike down the steps. The super fixed it before we came back, as we had been given his phone number, thanks to Carlos.
We enjoyed being able to eat breakfast and a couple of light dinners and evening snacks, and to fix a picnic for our Montserrat excursion in the well-equipped kitchen. Having a wash machine and a rack to hang clothes as well as lines outside the window was a real plus during the super hot month of August.
Best of all, after the crowds of the day, we so appreciated returning to good neighborhood restaurants and a quiet, cool place to recuperate.
The TV was too complicated to use. We streamed on our smart phones.
