More hotel than hostel in the private rooms
Property was well positioned in the heart of Barcelona with tons of amenities (that I did not use). I had a private room with bathroom which was spotless and well kept through out my stay. The entire hostel was VERY quiet which was perfect for an old lady like me! I would recommend a private room at BcnSportsHostels for anyone looking for a budget hotel type experience. My one quibble is that the mattress was pretty uncomfortable, I could feel every spring, but it did not stop me from getting a good night's sleep each night after exhausting myself in Barcelona each day.

So you only give people bed sheets and not bed covers which I couldn’t really get a decent nights sleep in also don’t provide any cleaning equipment plus on the second to last day I had to get taken out of my hostel and removed from a guy who kept snoring when he should of been the one getting removed.

Overall we had a great stay at this hostel. We booked private family room for 4 people, one double bed and one bunk bed. Cleaning people were really nice and the location of the hostel was really good. Good value for the money. The only part that had us feel very uncomfortable as guests was the very rude male receptionist working night shift 8th and 9th September. We were a big group and were told we were loud which we understood and instantly apologized for. The problem is that the receptionist did not understand when to stop “informing us” about the rules and us being loud, even though we clearly said “ok we understand”. He then wanted us to identify ourselves and show our room cards etc in a very rude way with extra comments that were completely unnecessary. We were all adult people 30+ years, but he did not listen to us and just continued complaining, with zero customer service and clear lack of social ability to read the situation. Please remind him of his unnecessary behavior for the sake of future guests at the hostel.

Not a family friendly place, nothing too do . I don’t understand why they write that they have a pool, its in a gym next to the hostel AND you have to pay and buy a hat for your hair. You have to pay them a extra fee when you get there 12 euros and they only charge it cash. Don’t recommend this place for family.

Fake Photoshop, standard much worse than they portrayed, cleaners entering the rooms without knocking and expecting us to leave beds etc so they can clean at odd times, bad wifi, messy rooms, “clean sheets” were full of stains, staff were slow, not solution oriented and rude, super cold, bad smell in bathroom, shower smelled even worse

Lazy staff. When i arrived they were standing outside and didnt go inside to help me straight away. The card reader didnt work so i had to take out cash from an atm. The beds lack walls or protecting cloth, meaning there is no privacy. The sports theme of the hostel is a bit fun though, with bizarrely painted walls. There should be more bathrooms.

Horrible experience, been turned on the street coz didn’t have €3 city tax with me, although on the website it states they only accept card payments. Rude staff lady shouting on me over &3, no empty i was travelling over 20h to there. Person like this shouldn’t work at customer service in any circumstances! I went to check in today at 1.30pm with my hotel booking saying 2pm check in. The brunette girl on reception said they charge 30 euro for luggage storage (bizarre to charge??) and that checkin was 3pm. I showed my booking saying 2pm (an unwell, solo young female traveller dying to get settled in) and she yelled at me “well I’m telling you 3pm now”. She yelled swear words at me so I no longer felt welcome to stay here. I said ok, cancel my booking I don’t want to stay here and she said “we don’t want you here, get out… and waved me to the door”. I asked for her name and she just mocked me. The most horrendous experience that left me in tears on the streets stranded. Brunette girl, you seriously need to leave customer service. You are a sad sad person. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! EVER!!!!!!

Nope, don’t stay here.
What a terrible hostel. By far the worst bed I’ve ever slept in, every bed in my room has springs that will constantly be digging into your body. Could barely sleep, by body aches from that bed. When I asked reception for a blanket, they apparently do not own any blankets. To be fair she did provide me with extra sheets, but they were not enough as the springs digging into my back for so intense. I am not usually picky with beds but wow. Kitchen was a mess, this may be do to the guests though. I did see the cleaning lady doing her best. Never room in the fridge, barely room in the kitchen. It’s a large hostel with a tiny kitchen. Oh and it closes at 22:30 so that kind of sucked. One reception lady was nice, the others were rude and short and don’t interact with you. During my check in the only word that was said to me was “Passport”. Terrible experience 10/10 would not recommend this place. Spend the extra few euro’s for a better place, and closer to Barcelona as this is a quite out of the way.

El personal que nos atendió fue correcto y amable en todo momento pero nuestra valoración para este alojamiento es muy negativa. Nuestra habitación fue solo para mí y mi familia así que no tuvimos los problemas que entiendo pasen en las otras habitaciones compartidas; aún así la habitación no estaba ventilada (no tiene ventana al exterior), las sabanas que te dan en una bolsa para que tú te hagas la cama estaban todas con pelos y con agujeros (de varios centímetros, tanto que en una cabía la cabeza), en los edredones que cubrían se apreciaban manchas. El baño no disponía de productos básicos de higiene (no hay jabón, sí papel higiénico) y no tuvimos toallas en los días que nos alojamos (las dos veces que las pedimos, no quedaban ) aún correspondiéndonos porque para otros clientes entendimos que se cobraban aparte. Realmente del resto de instalaciones, si están no las vimos y las que vimos no se sienten como en las imágenes. Sinceramente no lo recomiendo para que se aloje una familia ni nadie que quiera pasar unos días en la ciudad. Puede servir para personas que están de paso y necesitan un lugar donde pasar la noche.

- Ca sent la moisissure dans les chambres impossible de supporter. - pas de ventilation et les rayons du soleil n’entre pas dans les chambres - la douche sent un cadavre - les box pour mettre ses affaires sont cassées (pas possible de mettre un cadenas - les portes des douches ne se ferment pas - pas d’isolation acoustique - les machines de vente automatique vous volent l’argent
