Tranquil place with probably the best views of the bay in the whole of Baracoa. Spacious room with terrace and shuttered windows (so it stays cool even without airco). Most importantly: lovely host proficient in both English and Spanish, who will make you feel right at home. She knows all there is to know about Baracoa, and her love for the area is infectuous. Additionally, she can put you into touch with the right people for transport and trips, to make the most of your stay. Would definitely recommend!

Villa Esmeralda is a perfect place to base yourself to explore the natural beauty of Baracoa.Or to completely relax on the balconey or roof top with an extraordinary view of the bay & surrounds.Migdalia & Jimmy are brillant hosts with lovely character.Are very happy to help in what activities to partake in & what is in & around the Baracoa area.Both have great command of the English language & are very friendly people.Nice family all around.The rooms are large,clean & tidy throughout & can accommodate many people.I throughly enjoyed my short time in Villa Esmeralda & meeting Migdalia & Jimmy.I look forward coming another time in the not so distant future.Thanks again Migdalia & Jimmy

Bon accueil et la personne en charge nous attendait. Le plus de Villa Esmeralda c'est la vue imprenable des chambres sur la mer et le fort de Baracoa. Vraiment exceptionnel. Très bien placé pour les ballades en ville aux alentours.

La villa Esmeralda est très bien située avec une vue magnifique ainsi qu’un panorama sur la baie et le Yunque. Les hôtes sont bienveillants et disponibles pour la moindre question. Je recommande pour un bon séjour à baracoa

Surtout que nous avons pu réserver au dernier moment Merci beaucoup à Migdalia de nous avoir accueillis avec autant de joie et d’envie, de nous avoir trouvé une excursion, purifier de l’eau etc… si on en a l’occasion, nous reviendrons bien volontiers !

Stay was very nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommend their breakfast as it was very good. Location is close to all the tourist sites and parks (within walking distance). Parking on street in front of property, very safe. Room was large, with a fridge. Great views of the ocean and the hills ("Sleeping beauty". If you stay here you will know what I mean.). Staff spoke English. I spoke Spanish to improve my Spanish speaking. Definitely a must for a visit. Also mingle with the Cuban people for better understanding of their culture and life. They are a very happy and friendly people.
