"I decided to host my family and friends in a chateau in Champagne for my 50th birthday! I chose this one because it looked like it jumped off the page of a Brontë novel. After reading reviews and looking in a map, I wasn’t expecting anything near by. So we had planned to enjoy some time at the chateau, have a birthday party, then head out on day trips. "Nice country gite, modernised but could do with a little maintenance. Overgrown trees and shrubs. Plentiful hot water. Interesting electrics. Very surprised and displeased to be charged cash on arrival for cleaning, linen etc - issue to be resolved! Nice sitting in garden. Excellent location. Close to Templar site. Bar-sur-Seine lovely town, many bakeries, large Friday market."

"this is a hotel i use frequently when driving through the area. its a perfect location for getting off the motorway and back on again the following day. Just a short drive to Troyes centre. there is a nice restaurant next door and a nice bakery too. i will stay here again next time im in the area "

"Excellent place for a stopover on the way to the alps or south of France, comfortable & convenient. There are 2 restaurants just across the car park, as we stayed here on both legs of our trip we tried both. First was a traditional French restaurant, good food & reasonably priced. Second was a fish restaurant, excellent food & they offered a 15% discount to residents of the hotel. Both were busy with locals, always a good sign."

"Good overnight stop. The guy on reception was very friendly & helpful. Awful night pouring down with rain. Asked him about the restaurant opposite said it wasn’t bad & if you show your B&B card get 15% discount. Good call it was lovely."
