"Had a lovely 5 days away at Barry’s beautiful villa.Barry went above and beyond from communication to a lovely welcome pack.He arranged for his friend Peter to collect and take us back to the airport for a reasonable charge.Peter was lovely.Candy also helped us while we were away with taxis as it is a bit remote as in the mountains and we didn’t rent a car.And was happy to call around to find us a taxi and book activities if we wanted.Overall a wonderful holiday.Thankyou to you all.John and Sue"

"El Pao was wonderful and we enjoyed our stay. However there were some things that we did not expect. I stayed in the room with the bubble. I think it’s important to note that the only access to the room with the bubble are spiral stairs, not horrible but not also the best. I had the idea that this would be a “bed in breakfast” but because the room could only be accessed by the spiral stairs, the breakfast could not be brought up to the room. I would not recommend the room with the bubble during summer because there is no ventilation and it is very hot in there. Making it impossible to go in during the day and okay at night. Although you could go in at night, you’d have to leave in the morning because it would start to get hot. Besides that, the room was gorgeous. My favorite feature was the tub in the center of the room. The balcony area with the bubble was also very nice and big, area to tan and lay as well which I appreciated. The breakfast was also delightful and they had good coffee. I think the ventilation in the air bubble was the biggest let down because we barely used it, I was so excited for it but it was too hot for me and I couldn’t sleep comfortably. This could be my fault for lacking common sense but it’s also summer, maybe put something in there during the summer? We did ask for a fan and were provided one, which was very nice but it still didn’t do much. But the bed in there was super comfy. Overall, I would give this place a 8/10. I am very grateful to stay"

"Myself, my husband and our 2 teenage children stayed at this stunning villa. It was perfect for us with it being away from it all, so to speak. The villa has that luxury feel that we needed, and there was plenty to do at the villa, so we didn't need to go out much at all. We went to El Campello many times as it had a great relaxed feel to it. We enjoyed the large shopping mall in Alicante as well as Alicante itself. The weather was very very hot the 2 weeks we were there and the air con in the bedrooms was a god send. My only criticism with the villa is the lack of air con in the main living areas. Because it was so hot, we were very uncomfortable in those areas during our stay. Apart from that, the villa caters for so so much! If it had been a bit cooler, it may not have been a problem. Our host Lorena was very sweet and was available to answer any questions we had, as well as the pool man who came to keep the pool in tip top shape."

"Beautiful property in quiet residential area Property manager, Rudy, was very amenable and happy to advise on local facilities. There is a dog shelter up on the hill behind house that can generate a little noise first thing in the morning (assuming feeding time!) but nothing that should put you off staying in this beautiful and fantastically equipped home"

"Quirky converted building in a very rural area. Very clean. Hot water was an issue, as with most hotels in winter with the short days. Very friendly reception, even with the language barrier. I would say it was over-priced in comparison to what you get in the UK for the same price. But would still recommend, nothing really bad to say about the place. Served it’s purpose for us, bed and shower while touring."
