It was very cozy, clean, and perfect for families! Everything is fully functional, the kitchen was loaded with cooking utensils. Lots of ample room to have fun and enjoy. We had so much fun!

Family Ski Vacation
First off let me start with the pro's about the house, because they out weighs the cons. Pro's: 1. loved the layout of the house plenty of room for the 9 of us. 2. Drive to and from the slopes wasn't to bad even with all the snow we got on Friday. (4 wheel drive is recommended with the snow.) 3. Hot tub and sauna are defiantly a plus especially after a long day of skiing. 4. Not a bad walk from parking area, down one flight of steps, to the house. 5. Kitchen has almost everything you'll need. Now for the Con's 1. Property wasn't as clean as other units we've stayed in. 2. The kitchen a s well stocked as it is was there were only 4 forks to be found but has 40+ spoons. 3. The bedroom with the two twin beds didn't have any linen on the two beds to make one bed. 4. Would have been a plus to have a way to clean the snow off the steps and walkway, so we didn't track snow in the entry way. In all we had a great time at this property, and will book this house again, but we'll take a few more things with us next time. The guys really enjoyed staying in this house. After 12 hours of working they were able to come home and relax and enjoy themselves. I would recommend this place for a family get away or friends trip.

Great location and perfect for our size party
The property is located close to Beech Mountain so if you’re skiing or biking there it’s a 5 minute drive. It has plenty of room for 7 people, all the pots, pans and utensils for us to cook breakfast and nice accessories like the hot tub and sauna. WiFi works well too, which is nice because cell reception in the Beech area is generally poor. We enjoyed our stay there.

This was an amazing place I just don’t like that I was charged so much in fees for cleaning and when it was time to leave I see the rules next to door that says dishes had to be washed and dishwasher empty when it was full when I got there all trash had to be took out and new bags in and there was no trash bags to be found and bed linings and towels had to be had to be took off al beds and put in a hamper in wash room where there was not one available and there was one trash can down stairs that had for towels after hot tub that was it. I was told there was heat and air and there was nothing but heat after I call the customer service line they tell me the the beech bum chalet does not have air available to open the windows which I don’t feel safe to do when I’m out this far and others all around me. I do want to say the house it self was perfect for my family but I couldn’t watch things no the Roka television with Netflix bc others information was in them and it wouldn’t let us delete. And the only other thing I didn’t like was there was no information for the WiFi and they had all kids of games for family that my older daughter found the day we was leaving I a coffee table which if there was more information available at the place then we could have have used these as a family since we were on vacation for the family. So that being said I would love to stay at a place like this again if I didn’t have to do all cleaning and pay a cleaning fee that almost $200 .

Enjoyed our stay!! House/location was a GREAT choice!!
We enjoyed our stay!! The house was nice and clean!! The ONLY complaints we really had was that some of the dishes didn't look all that clean (I think maybe they were put up wet or something tho), the hot tub really needed a good cleaning, and the internet/wifi didn't have the strongest connection so we had some children a little upset about screens lagging and freezing (LOL!! 🤣) BUT I'm sure that's not anything that necessarily can be helped with location and all... other than that everything was good tho!! I would definitely rent again and recommend this rental!! 🙂

I have a huge itemized list of what's wrong, but the gist is that it hasn't been properly cleaned in a very long time. Kitchen needs a good overhaul, with working appliances, more/different dishes, etc.

Would Stay Again
We loved this place. After reading other reviews, I was worried about cleanliness... the kitchen table and bar downstairs did have a couple of sticky spots but that's it. It wasn't dirty other than that and wasn't dusty at all. The furniture was a little older, but did not take away from our stay and the beds were comfortable. We had no issues with the wifi and the TV had Roku hooked up so we were able to stream movies. The sauna and hot tub both worked...they did a full hot tub water change before we checked in but it was still warm enough for us to use that night. The deer in the area came almost right up to us! Would definitely stay again.

Disappointing experience
Bottom line, i will never stay on this cabin again but i would use Caroline Cabin Rentals again to look for another cabin, although their housekeeping crew needs help, lots of help. When we first walked into the Beech Bum Chalet the place smelled like very old home. We found the place was not very clean. We found mice pooping on the dinning table, kitchen counters, stove, even on one bed. The cabin was organized but dirty. The comforter covers on all the beds looked very old, stained/dirty, and smelled dirty. I pulled one of the them off to find a back sock under it from the previous guest. The white sheets on all beds looked clean but I did not trust to sleep on them. I took pictures and emailed them to the cabin staff who were very prompt to respond and offered to come clean. I declined since my sisters had already been clean the kitchen for about an hour. I can tell the owner doesn't care to invent in upgrading the cabin for years. All Furniture, kitchen appliance, bed comforters, electronics, all looked from the 80s. I told the staff i was not happy there, mostly for the dirty conditions, and they gave me the option to move to another cabin close by but we decided to stay since the other cabin was smaller and didn't have enough beds for 7. I just decided to leave early, i stayed only 2 nights instead of 3 as planned. The Cabin staff gave me credit for the 3rd night i chose not to use and also offered $100 credit for doing my own cleaning of the place. The staff was very nice and responsive (dropped clean bed sheets the first night we arrived). Another issue we had was the wifi. It went down very often. I had to reset it may times and mess with a loosed cable on the router to fix it multiple times. Again this is a result of very old and out of date equipment. One thing my family enjoyed was the view outside, the hot tab (that was nice), and the few games they had on the downstairs bedroom. BTW, the downstair bedroom looks nice, i can tell it was built and added to the cabin recently as it looked newer and in better condition. We arrived on Nov 20 and checked out Nov 22 2020.

Lovely house
Everything was great, beautiful house. The only thing is the cleaning, dishes were not clean, bathrooms floors were not clean, it was dusty all the way around, trash in the closet. But definitely I would pick this house again.

3.5 Stars if it was an option
Overall the Cabin was nice and in a good location. We were surrounded by a family of deer all weekend and the kids loved being able to look out of the windows and see them so close. The hot tub, Sauna, and Foosball table were big hits with the 3 small kids that were with us. A few things to work on... It was HOT inside. I understand that being in the mountains most places do not have AC as it's not really needed most of the time but a few fans would have gone a LONG way. We had the windows open all stay just to keep the temps somewhat down inside. Also, the house itself was not very clean. I expected more especially with the current pandemic going on. The floors and counters/tabletop were dirty upon our arrival to the point that my wife and her best friend basically cleaned most of Friday evening. And the downstairs bathroom beside the Sauna smelled of rotten fish. That door stayed closed with the fan on our whole stay. To say I was disappointed in that is a huge understatement. Overall the cabin was nice though. I can tell the owners are trying to update it as they go. The newer renovations are very nice and a point in the right direction. Had the place been cleaned better and a fan or two for each bedroom it would have gotten 5 stars for sure.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY
It was a great peaceful stay at the beginning it was everything but that. the hot tub was dirty it was no hot water TV's didn't work spider web. Now after I cleaned the hot tub fixed the TV's and fixed the hot water REMINDER THIS WAS MY VACATION!!!!!! now after all that we had a great time in my opinion the place just needs a good updating and the house keeping needs to be revaluated definitely

Old and outdated cabin, skip it if you can
This is an old and very outdated cabin. We paid lots of money for basically so less. $3000 for 5 nights, so $600/night and all that is in this cabin is old, sofas are dirty, there is a bad smell as soon as you enter the cabin. The cleaning lady did her best but this cabin really needs some improvements. In the bathrooms you have plastic liquid soap containers but you get a solid soap, so is the owner trying to tell you to buy the liquid soap or they put them there just for decoration? We had to buy lots of stuff to make our stay pleasant, starting with toilet paper. Each room is getting 2 big towels and that's it. We had to wash and dry them daily. The only thing that we like is that the cabin is very close to the slopes and the local store (5 minutes).
