The Hideaway is a newly remodeled, modern, 740 sq ft, round cabin that is ideal for a romantic getaway, small family vacation or a peaceful solo retreat. We are centrally located in the town of Foscoe between Boone (9mi) and Banner Elk (10mi), NC.
You will also be near: ~ Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zipline (6 mi) ~ The Original Mast General Store (6mi) ~ Sugar Mountain Ski Resort (8 mi) ~ Blowing Rock (10 mi) ~ Tweetsie Railroad (12mi) ~ ASU (12 mi) ~ Grandfather Mountain (13 mi) ~ Beech Mountain Ski Resort (16 mi)
Our favorite spot at our property is the outdoor firepit area. We use it whenever the weather allows. Starting our morning with a cup of coffee and a fire; while enjoying our peek-a-boo views of Grandfather Mountain really makes us feel like we are on vacation. In the evening after a busy day at the slopes, snowtubing, riding the mountain coaster or hiking a new trail we love to snuggle up next to a fire and roast Marshmallows. Check us out on IG (the_hideaway__nc) and let us know your favorite spot at The Hideaway!!!!
For those visiting in the summer months. We DO NOT have A/C. This is very common in the mountains due to the elevation which offers cooler summers temperatures.

Awesome location near, cleanliness, and great communication from host. Would stay again and again
My wife and I with two children under two drove up from West Palm Beach, Florida to visit this area of NC and the stay and experience superseded our expectations. The location was central to several attractions we visited, and the cabin was perfect for our small family.
Super clean and well-stocked home with everything you need for a wonderful get-away. The firepit and deck were very relaxing and the decor was updated and well thought out. Highly recommend!
We loved our stay. The round house was adorable and the location was perfect - convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, Banner Elk…..and most importantly all the great hiking trails. The house was decorated beautifully and supplied with everything we needed. And it did not matter that the highs were in the 80s and we didn’t have air condition…the house stayed nice and cool with the windows open! The fire pit was an added bonus and a wonderful way to end our evening after a day of hiking. Our host was also great too! Thank you for a truly lovely weekend!
No complaints about this adorable property! It was very clean & decorated nicely. You can tell they pay attention to details. They were more than generous with coffee, spices, soaps, etc. that they have available to guests. The fire pit & outside lights were a plus too.
The Hideaway was the perfect place for a quick weekend away! As the name suggests, it’s tucked away on a hill in the woods. There are neighbors nearby but none close enough to disturb. Our girls LOVED the thoughtful decor and updates to the cabin. So much so that our oldest left begging us to live in a cabin “just like this one”! We loved relaxing by the fire pit after a long day of activities. The location was pure perfection! It’s centrally located to all of our favorite mountain activities: hiking, restaurants, breweries, wineries, the parkway, Tweetsie, Linville Falls, Foscoe, and Grandfather Mountain! Unfortunately, we ran out of time to squeeze in everything we planned. We are already checking our calendars to plan another trip!
The property was just as advertised. The house was clean, really thoughtfully decorated, perfect for a couple’s weekend. Brandi was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We loved everything about it.
Only stayed for one night but the house was in the perfect spot, so clean and cozy it had everything we needed! Was so excited when we walked in and saw a Christmas tree lit up, it made the stay feel extra special and festive:) Would 100% stay at this location the next time we come to the mountains!
My family and I (3 boys under 5 y/o) stayed here on our trip to get a Christmas tree from a local WNC tree farm. We had the best time. The boys absolutely fell in love with the Christmas decorations in the house, especially the tree. We would love to stay here again! You can tell the owner takes time and pays attention to what guests need/want. They had firewood available , and all the necessities you could think of. Thanks for a wonderful , memorable experience!!
The property is modern and clean. Lovely decorations. Location is near several areas to visit so central. Host communicated well and was accommodating. Would recommend and stay again.
