Gorgeous views and steps to ski slopes, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath(1 shower and 1 claw tub) 1300 sq ft chalet, fireplace, granite kitchen counter tops and stainless steel appliances, tile floors, all tongue and groove walls and ceiling. Minimum 3 night stay. Sleeps up to 7.
2 bedrooms with king size beds, 1 bedroom with bunk beds and roll away for maximum of 7. Look around for Beech Mountain Chalets and you'll agree this is one of the nicest on the mountain.

Fantastic Winter Getaway

We rented this property with 2 other couples and thoroughly enjoyed it. Walking access to slopes was super convenient. We hope to be back next year !

From The Beach to The Beech
I came up for a short skiing holiday from Orange Beach, AL with my family. The weather turned colder so they blew snow on the slopes and we had a great time. The views from this chalet are awesome sitting at the top of Beech Mountain. It is not a true ski in/out because you have to walk down the road to gain access to a blue run. Then the walk back up it a couple of hundred yards. The chalet was clean and nice with a few minor things wrong but overall it was a nice stay.

A very unloved house
This is s a place that looks good in pictures but fails to provide adequate linens, kitchen utensils, paper goods, or any sense of welcome. Parking in the winter is almost nonexistent. It was a lot of money for very little.

Amazing!
This rental was exactly what was promised. The views were amazing and our family had an incredible time skiing in and out of this beautiful chalet. We weren't quite prepared for the difficult drive up to the house (especially since the ski resort had been blowing snow all afternoon), however, our host was quite helpful when I messaged him on VRBO, and even called me to make sure we made it up ok. We got some snow chains and it made things much easier. The town does an excellent job of clearing the road in the morning, making access much easier. We also met one of the neighbors who offered to help us get out if the need arose. If you plan to stay here during the winter months, definitley plan to arrive before nightfall so your trip up will be easier....or ensure your vehicle is equipped with 4 wheel drive or snow chains. Beds were comfy, living room was cozy, and the beautiful Christmas tree welcomed us when we arrived. We loved our stay here and honestly can't imagine another ski vacation without staying right on the slopes!

Just your average bad vacation week
Great vacations cannot be appreciated without having a bad one. At first glance the exterior of the home is a complete eyesore...knee high weeds...scattered trash...fogged windows and then you step foot on a severely neglected deck with rotten spots warning you to be careful where you step. The interior of the home is a complete 180...beautifully furnished...floor to ceiling knotty pine paneling everywhere...all bedding and furniture of high quality and very comfortable. Great first night...then my husband woke up the next morning to dripping water on the downstairs master bed. He then called the homeowner to let him know of the leak to which he stated he would fix it AFTER WE LEFT. My husband then called VRBO customer service and then after they contacted the home owner, the home owner stated he tried to contact a plumber...sure he did. He messaged us through the VRBO app on Monday that the plumber would "try" and get by after lunch Tuesday. My husband instructed the home owner for the plumber to contact us with an ETA so we could be there as we have our fur babies with us and to let him know the downstairs master bath tub leaks as well. After staying within 30 minutes from the house all day Tuesday...never any contact from the plumber. With not one single bedroom window that will open in ANY of the bedrooms, we abandoned using the downstairs bedroom as it was a musty humid mess after plumbing leaks. After a couple of days in the upper 70's, being in a house with no windows that open, it tends to get toasty. God bless my husband's patience, he owns rental properties and knows all to well that "stuff" happens. The internet NEVER worked our entire stay, plumbing leaks and no windows that open...it surprised me that he didn't blow his top..LOL...especially dealing with a homeowner that acted like he was the one being inconvenienced. My husband even went the extra mile to temporarily fix the leaking shower with ZERO thanks from the homeowner. It's a shame that VRBO doesn't allow guests photos...trust me..these are worth a million words. This house, or most importantly the homeowner, has given us an unforgettable stay that we will laugh about 10 years from now. Thanks Anthony :)

pure enjoyment!
This is our second time staying here and we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. The weather was perfect - cool and sunny - and the back deck views were amazing. MBR was very comfortable, and we just love the wood fireplace. The kitchen also had everything we needed. Look forward to our next stay here next chance we get!

House was fine, it is one of the older house's in that area beaning up graded. I'm not sure what the stop work order posted at the steps is all about? Had a slight mildew smell when we first walked in, I'm sure due to the changing weather on Beech, was not an issue for us. Parking can be an issue if you have a full size truck like ours. The trash site is closed on Wednesday, we left early Thursday. Overall no issues, house is fine, easy skii in-skii out.

We enjoyed our stay at this property which was comfortable, clean and only a short walk to the slopes. Parking was great and easy to unload the car into the main level. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely consider staying here again.

we loved the location so much we returned for a one last run at the ski season. This location is perfect if you're there to ski, and it's not far into town or things you may need. Hosts are great too!

This rental worked out really well for us. The property is exactly as depicted. Great location with ski in/ski out access. The property owner did warn us ahead of time that the road can be icy after the sun goes down. We did have trouble getting one of our cars up that did not have 4 wheel drive so i would recommend 4WD only. We waited for a warmer day and we’re able to get it up later in the week. The property could have been cleaner. The floors and counter were not thoroughly clean and there were dead flies on the window sills. Just made me wonder how much I couldn’t see…also the room with the bunk beds was missing a blind which led to no privacy to change in there at night and light streaming in in the morning. No condiments in the house and bare bones items like trash bags, sponges, dishwashing pods etc. not a complaint just good to be aware of so you can bring your own in case you use up what they left. No shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc so plan to bring your own. Overall positive experience but a few small enhancements would take this from 4 stars to 5.

Perfect for a skiing!
Great place to ski out of! Walked very short walk to the slope. Very easy in and out. The house is very nice and well equipped for your stay. Host was very nice and accommodating. We ski a lot and would definitely choose this place again!

Outstanding location! Definitely ski in/out. Loved the wood burning fireplace (we did bring our own wood). Great use of the space - six adults were comfortable. Definitely will come back. Only suggestion is that if you are a serious cook, bring some kitchen supplies with you.

Had a lovely stay in this home. Great views and you can’t beat it for convenience to slope (gate to slope is just a few steps away). Nice neighbor used his bobcat to dig our car out of the snow drifts. Just mentioning to anyone reading reviews to bring your own paper towels. The listing didn’t mention it would be there so no fault to them I just assumed it would since that’s become pretty standard. If I had to nitpick I’d ask for an additional pot in the kitchen (one large and one pretty tiny one are there); that’s grasping for a negative though. Overall fantastic stay and great home. Owners answered any questions/concerns almost immediately snd were very responsive. Would definitely recommend.
