"If you want a quiet country setting with charm this a place for you, it reminded me of staying at a Grandparents home. The staff were quite friendly and the food was good. Try the local wines they have there."

"A very original place to stay- be aware it is a little out of the way abd not a typical hotel- but you have access to a kitchen to make your dinner/lunch. The breakfast provided was wonderful!!! "

"This was the cutest farmhouse! We had a wonderful dinner and the woman and man who seemed to run the restaurant where lovely! I hit my head on a doorway, and they gave me ice and continued checking on me through the evening! Such very very nice people with wonderful food in a beautiful setting "

"It was a good place to stay at but rooms allow noise to interrupt a good sleep. After a tiring walk at El Camino, I just wanted to take a shower and sleep, but it was difficult because of the crowd. There were some issues with our Expedia reservation that couldn't be found, but after all they resolved and were very supportive. They are located a bit far from El Camino, so you'll need to pay a round trip taxi when you come and leave ($6-10 Euros). "

"This is a wonderful place to stay at. Just keep in mind that they are located far from Arzua. If you contact them, they might be able to arrange your taxi transportation. We stayed at this place while walking El Camino de Santiago. It was an awesome break after walking from Palas de Rei to Arzua, which was a long walk, so we didn’t have the power to keep walking until getting the this property. "After a long cold and rainy day on the Camino, Manuel picked us up in town. This was a life saver as we were so wet and cold from the walk. Upon arrival there was a welcoming fire and coffee and cookies. We felt right at home. We were the only guest so we were able to enjoy the family room by the fire all evening. Dolores cooked us the most amazing meal. We can both say that it was the best meal we had on the Camino. They are wonderful hosts!! The only downside was the weather so we...

"This was perfect home to stay Santiago! Very new and clean, what ever you needed at home here has everything even very new. Bed was clean and comfortable, clean and tidy interior. They have a washer and dryer in the building free to use. It was very nice after long walk to Camino. Highly recommended! "

"Well located property just steps from the Cathedral. The apartment was clean and attractive. Nicely decorated with lots of windows with shutters worked well for both security and room darkening. Kitchen is a little minimalist but functional for breakfast and simple meals. Super clean and spacious bathroom. Comfortable 4 night stay."

lovely location, beautfully appointed

"what a charming hotel. five stars in every category except one- which they are aware of and inform you of in advance. Since the hotel is in a pedestrian only section of town you've got to park the cxar and carry your bags. Not a terrible thing. Yet- on this same trip we encountered a similar situation in Porto only this hotel would send someone to meet you and bring in your bags. The Rua Vilar might think about it. Everything else is exceptional and the luggage lugging didn't dampen our spirits. Putting it in perspective a lot of folks come to this town after hiking for days or weeks on the Caminho de Capistrano so maybe this is intentional."

"Nice quality property with friendly and helpful staff. Area is nicely wooded with a stream running along a walking path. We walked into old town and the cathedral 2.2 miles without issue. Food was good quality and reasonably priced!"
