Mediterranean inspired luxury in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, near Great Tew

Beechnut, with its light and airy living room and separate romantic bedroom, is a firm favourite with romantics, artists, writers and creative people alike. This unusual and characterful cottage provides a haven of tranquility to help you unwind and to inspire your inner creativity.

Each room has its own unique and inviting character. Beneath the dovecote a weighty wooden door with wrought iron grille leads into the lobby. To the left is the bedroom with stone mullioned arched windows looking directly out onto the fields. A medieval styled arched door and stone passageway leads past an unusual Moroccan styled bathroom with spacious power shower down into the light and airy living area and open plan fully equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs.

A comfy sofa allows you to relax in front of the open Adobe style fireplace (This can also become a bed to accommodate an extra visitor or family member). Whitewashed walls and terracotta floor tiles and rugs throughout give a Mediterranean feel to this room. The high pitched ceilings, exposed beams also add to the ambience with windows looking out onto the courtyard, where the morning sun streams in.

Superior crafted, natural luxury together with our exacting standards and attention to detail ensure that Beechnut offers guests a truly relaxing and pleasurable experience. As with all our cottages, Beechnut has outperformed its star rating and been awarded gold by Visit England in recognition of exceptional quality.

Two Georgians in Cotswolds
Everything about our stay was perfect. Friendly hostess and staff, thoroughly fitted out kitchen and lodging and beautiful grounds. We highly recommend Heath Farm Cottages for a relaxing, carefree stay.

Wedding Weekend
We had our wedding here so all the cottages were booked out for the family. Everyone was taken aback by the care and attention paid to every detail. The cottages were a delight - cosy, quiet, comfortable Everyone at the wedding said they’d be looking in to booking their own weekend away at Heath Farm; it’s immaculate and so are all the cottages.

Great Location
Heath Farm is an excellent location for a stay. Beechnut cottage is comfortable, spacious and has all the tools for self-catering. The walk-in shower is a plus for those that have challenges getting in or our of a tub. The town is a short distance away to get supplies for lunches and dinner.

Perfect: beautifully designed cottage and courtyard. Lovely woodland. Great location.
Didn’t want to leave. Quiet. Comfortable. Warm. Well equipped. Not stingy with tea towels, dish washer tablets or fire wood (which has been the case at other places). Such a lovely and inspiring location. Also a good base for visiting other places. Well sign-posted (but the actual entrance is hard to see at night). We are making our plans to stay again.

Wonderful Stay
We stayed a weekend and that was not enough time to enjoy the facilities and grounds. Our cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. The little touches were lovely too- Cake and Granola and milk. The cottage is located in a lovely area and they courtyard and grounds are stunning.

Fabulously unique holiday let
We were staying for work (hiring another cottage as well). What an absolute treat, we usually stay in faceless hotels! Fixtures/fittings/equipment etc all to the highest standard. Would happily come back as a visitor rather than for work!

Beautiful Farm
What a treat to walk among the gardens, trees, and beautiful living areas. Felt like the Garden of Eden with all the edible pears, berries, fresh eggs, and nature experiences. The staff were great, sharing their stories and always eager to help with any questions or interests.

Second visit, and we'll likely be back again
We have previously stayed in Chestnut, and decided to try Beechnut this time. It's a lovely cottage, ideal for a couple. We arrived on the hottest day of the year to find one of the radiators stuck on, however the owners were quickly on the case trying to mitigate the issue, and a plumber fixed it permanently the next morning. We love the courtyard and the grounds. The owners and son are lovely to talk to. We hope to visit again in the near future, maybe for a winter stay.

A wonderful 10 days stay. Cake and granola yummy plus cottage was well stocked with toiletries and kitchen items. Flowers in cottage were nice on our arrival. Gardens and courtyard well kept.. Staff and family very friendly and helpful. Morning walks around property, saw deer, red kites, squirrels, rabbits and a buzzard.. Lake nice for fishing.

Bank holiday weekend stay
The cottage and surroundings were superb , such a lovely location away from the hustle of the holiday traffic. We walked and explored the area as guided by the owners , the local pubs and restaurants were great . The Boxing Hare and the Joiners Arms particularly good . The accommodation was quaint and picturesque , our last night was spent sitting in the lounge with log fire and some wine, the weather had turned. Our walking day was just lovely the countryside is just beautiful, walking in the woods and across public bridleways. Thank you ! a great place to stay.

Lovely peaceful spot.
Heath Farm is a lovely peaceful place to unwind, there are so many facilities it's hard to mention them all, Pool table, books, musical instruments, wild swimming, croquet lawn, forest to play in, films, games to mention a few, we stayed in Beechnut which was warm, comfortable and a little quirky, the amazing shower and spring water on tap were outstanding, unfortunately we had a cold week and weren't able to make the most of the beautiful courtyard to sit in of an evening. Heath farm's location is in easy reach of so many attractions, we walked every day and stand out visits were Cirencester Museum for the Roman artefacts and Chedworth Roman villa with incredible mosaics.

Very enjoyable stay
I was really impressed with the Beechnut cottage. The attention to detail and thoughtful use of available space was excellent. The power shower was a great addition and the general cleanliness could not be faulted. The courtyard and immediate surroundings were well laid out, very accessible and the availability of local produce was a great asset. Having spring water "on tap" was a first for me and I must admit a great asset. The availability of an electric car charge point was also a must for me. I have definitely earmarked Heath Farm for my future stays in this area of the country.

Excellent experience
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heath Farm. Super clean cottage with quality furnishings and linens. The bed was most comfortable. Heath Farm is family owned and operated. We were made to feel valued and very welcome. Set in 70 acres we were free to explore and walk the various pathways. We ate at Duck on the Pond pub just nearby. Falkland Arms Great Tew and Deddingbury Arms. All excellent meals and can recommend. If you choose to stay at Heath Farm you wont be disappointed. You will be warm and comfortable with plenty of towns and villages to visit in the area.

Amazing place to relax
Heathfarm is an amazing place to relax and unwind. Beechnut cottage has everything you need to be able to relax and soak up the glorious surrounding. The cottage is well equipped and has a super comfortable bed and wonderful log fire, if the weather turns chilly. The cleanliness of the cottage was brilliant with attention to detail obvious. Heathfarm itself is set in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds and boasts a fishing lake and extensive grounds for walks to take in the views. There is a play field with lots of equipment for young and old to enjoy outdoor sports and even a play barn full of “everything” you can think of to spend a few hours in during your stay. The crowing glory of Heathfarm are the family owners who cannot do enough for you in order for your stay to be truly memorable. Their genuine warm welcome, and care for detail, in order for you to enjoy your stay is beyond five stars!

More than we imagined
This is the best VRBO we've ever stayed in. Jenny let us in the cottage, Beechnut, and later Ramón (Mon) showed us around. The cottage was super equipped for cooking. Our pattern is to just have coffee in the morning. We were grateful for the cafetiere which we call a French Press in the States. We ate out for lunch and then shopped at Tesco and cooked at night. There were all the cooking utensiles, pots and pans we needed. Including aluminum foil and cling wrap.Since we don't eat sweets, we asked for fresh eggs and cream as a welcome gift. Paper towel and toilet paper were abundant. We asked for a were given a fan for the bedroom. The gardens were beautiful. We used some of the walking maps provided and used the washer and dryer twice during our stay. God even provided rain-free days with some son. Ramón gave us a map of Oxford and helped us locate a park and ride. Just an example of the personal attention and generous hearts of our hosts. This would be perfect for a family reunion.
