Apartment home is beautiful on the inside. We come from the suburbs, so the neighborhood location itself did concern at first. Important to know that you’re located right by a public transport station and sadly, there are several homeless people. We felt safe in the apt & during the day, but would not have felt comfortable walking around at night. The listing says that there is free street parking, however, when you pull up, there are parking meters surrounding the building. It was tricky to figure out where to park from there or how to manage parking. The property manager was on the phone with us while we were trying to find a place to park. She suggested that we park in the adjacent parking lot, even when we told her there were warning signs everywhere that our car would be towed. Eventually, we opted for the street parking at the building. We came on July 4, so we only had to worry about feeding the meter on Friday and Saturday (make sure you bring quarters!). Property manager did say she has parked there without feeding the meter and never gotten a ticket, but owner reiterated that free parking is only evenings and Sundays.
The apartment itself was very nice. Important for people to also know that this home is listed as sleeping six people, but there is not a sofa bed. It is just a reg. sofa + an air mattress (it is a nice one at least). Some key items were missing: No mixing bowl, forks, spatula, salt, & hairdryer, but I imagine they were there originally.
