"Lovely place, looks unassjming outside but lovely inside. Bar & restaurant area rustic buf deliberately so, as about 500 years old bug ghd rooms were very modern & comfy. Special mention to Chloe who was fantastic in the bar & restaurant."

"Staying in a newly refurbished room on the 3rd floor, everything was fresh and clean (though the pattern on the new carpet makes it look a bit threadbare in places). The fish and chips dinner was large and well cooked but the apple crumble dessert was disappointing as it was a small tart that seemed to have just been warmed up in a microwave and the ‘smudge’ of custard on the plate was barely enough to fill a teaspoon. Breakfast was plentiful and top quality, service for both dinner and breakfast was excellent. "

"If you want a taste of true rural Ireland, this is the place to stay. The Thatch and the Shed are both beautiful, modern, clean and highly kept up. We used this property as our home base for day trips to Kilkenny, Callan, Waterford, Wexford, Glendalough, Blarney Castle, and Kilarney. "

"Brilliant accommodation! Really comfortable, it was great having a kitchen and lounge space. The hosts were really lovely and incredibly helpful. We stayed in December and it was a welcoming touch to arrive to a toasty space with the heating already on for us. Adorable dogs! Would absolutely come back."
