House need to be thoroughly refurbished
Great area, a lot to see or experience. Very well located house less than 5 minutes from a small but nice coral strand, where we enjoyed watching sunset. Great views over the bay. House looked at bit like granny‘s old cottage was quickly transformed into a holiday home with some issues in its general condition and humidity (mould)

Super stay near the beatyful beach
What a nice place in Connemara! Less than 3 Min. to the beautyful beach and around the cottage only horses and cows, sea view. Mary is a very nice, helpful person, there was a warm welcome with the fire burning in the stove, wine on the table and milk in the fridge. The cottage was very clean. Thank you for everything Mary! Gladly again!

Best Location!!
This Cottage is located right next to the beach!! Close to the Connemara National Park and to beautiful small towns. It has all the things you could need (washing machine, oven, freezer etc). The locals were super nice and welcoming! Loved staying here!

Vitamin Sea
Ballyconneely is such a beautiful place for relaxation, rest & tranquility. The hospitality and people are so friendly and welcoming. Such a delight to see the ocean kiss the shoreline good morning.

A lovely place to stay beside the sea, we and our dogs had a relaxing break a
We had a really nice few days in Connemara in this charming cottage, right beside the sea and waking up to a pony in the field in front of us! Our dogs also had a great time (and we made sure to keep them on leads!) Unexpectedly sunny November mini break too!! ☀️

Great place to stay in Connemara
This cottage is ideal for those looking for a base to explore Connemara. It's very close to the coral beach (swimming every morning, which was bliss) and 5 minutes drive from countless glorious stretches of white sand. The local pub serves good food and a great pint, plus Clifden is only a 10-15 minute drive. All the facilities we needed were provided. The place isn't luxurious but is clean, tidy and comfortable. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Potentially lovely cottage
The cottage is in an ideal situation, close to lovely beach and other amenities, but the bedrooms were damp and I had to keep my clothes in my suitcase. The kitchen was without a teapot or coffee maker, plenty of saucepans but no roasting tin! The stove was a welcome addition. It’s a pity that the outside area is unkempt and full of weeds.

Wonderful Spot
We had a great time at the Cottage. We arrived late, but Ann had a roaring wood burning fire and a bottle of wine waiting for us. There was soda bread and sliced bread in the bread box as well as butter, milk, coffee and tea. Beds and bedrooms were very comfortable. Kitchen had all the amenities for cooking in dinners. Views out over the coastline and a short drive to Clifden and Roundstone. For the brave hearty, there is a local swimming club that meets every morning across from the cottage for a Morning Dip in Mannin Bay. The group is very friendly and welcome newcomers.

A slice of heaven in beautiful Connemara.
We had an amazing week in the cottage this summer. We stay in Connemara every year and this was hands down our favourite place. The cottage was comfortable and cozy, and Mary, the host, was so incredibly welcoming! When we arrived there were treats waiting in the kitchen and when we had the odd rainy day (as you do) Mary appeared with a bag of turf for the fire. The location was absolutely gorgeous. Just across the road from the beach, it was perfect for walks. The views were incredible as well— I loved just sitting outside and taking it all in. Honestly, we didn’t want to go home and we will definitely be back!

A comfy refuge, next to one of the best beaches in Connemara for viewing the sunsets
Superb place to stay. The coral beach in front of the house is one of the nicest places in Connemara to view amazing sunsets from. It is a grand quiet spot, set well back from the main road and yet only a very short walk from the beach. A nice house, equipped well with all the basics you will need to be able to enjoy your holiday. The owner pays attention to detail, and there was even fresh milk in the fridge on arrival so we could enjoy a cup of tea before having to go to the shops after a long drive! Little things like that make a difference, and there were a number of such good little things during the time we were there. Consider yourself blessed if you find a freshly baked cake of brown bread on the doorstep after a day's adventuring - it was some of the nicest I've had! I will be staying here again at some point, for sure, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely house to others.

Green Cottage
We called this house the Green cottage because the kitchen cabinets were green. The house was plenty warm and had excellent views. Our only complaints were 1) that the kitchen needed some work - drawers off kilter and not updated, range and oven looked rather tenuous 2) smoke detectors were off the wall and set behind the TV looking very old. 3) a carbon monoxide detector which looked very old started to make a low volume high pitched noise - not alarming, but probably that the batteries needed changing. I had to take one of the batteries out to make the noise stop. 3) There were pest deterrents in the outlets in the kitchen making us think we could have mice (although we did not see any) and there was a scent of bug spray in the sitting room. 4) overall the house could use some updating and decorating. It could be a very lovely place with some TLC.

Unbeatable
Loved it. Everything you need, nothing you don’t. Location, view, the house itself. Two minutes to coral beach but surprisingly peaceful and private. Good heating, shower, kitchen. . Mary is the perfect host. We’ve been renting in the west for thirty years and this is the pick of the bunch. Dogs loved it too

Great location, accommodation poor
This property is in need of updating, the kitchen was poorly equipped and ramshackle, and in need of a deep clean, wouldn't recommend the cottage.

Fabulous Location, lovely quaint Irish cottage with amazing views and short walk to beach
The cottage was perched on a small rise between 2 houses facing the sea. Access is via a small lane between houses which you could almost miss . The cottage itself was just right for our family of 4 with our small pet. Comfortable and clean . The small front porch was a welcome asset and allows 2 people to sit to enjoy the views , particularly as it can get windy sometimes. The outdoor space whilst wide was filled with hardcore material . Therefore the only place to sit out was on a narrow path which circled the cottage . It would have benefitted from a grassy area or a patio where you could sit comfortably and take in those amazing views or have a barbie in the evening . there was a fence around the property however it was'nt enough to corral our puppy safely and had no gate .we therefore had to keep our puppy on a lead most of the time to ensure she did'nt wander down the lane to the busy road below . The beach was steps away down the lane and across the road. the small coral cove was suitable for swimming but you also had access to a 2nd bigger beach a short hop beside it which was accessed across some rocks or via the road ( if you have small children care would be needed on the road as there were no paths and it gets busy sometimes. Ballyconneely town and clifden are a small drive awayas well as acces to all of the wonders of the west and connemara .
